Still no shows to go to, but that will end very soon. Thursday is when it will start with Woodside Quinn. About this weekend, well it was full of all kinds of swings for me. Great days, great moments, bad days and even worse feelings.

Friday we planned to have a party of Liam’s house. We got a keg, setup some shit so we could play, and started drinking. Of course, we couldn’t get enough people over there, even though there were tons of people right across the street where there wasn’t even a keg. Anyways, Jon and Ken both showed up for the party, as well as Kelly, Carissa, Brad and Chad. Some others came over too, but it really isn’t that important. :) Eventually we played a few songs and had some fun. Speed quarters was what really did everyone in at the party. The night was going alright so far. After a bunch of drinking, a group of us decided to take the walk to Murphy’s. The walk to the bar was quite interesting. At one point Carissa started kissing me and I was just in shock. I am not complaining, but I just didn’t want it to happen like that. She is still talking to Dan, and I didn’t want to cause any problems with that. My goal was to wait it out until she ended it with him, and then I would make my move. Well I guess it is too late for that. At one point Kelly started to kiss me too, and I was thinking threesome, but I just couldn’t work it all out. :) Anyway, we get to the bar. Carissa and I are still making out from time to time, and there was quite a group of people there that we knew. I was thinking that this was such a great night, and I was having a blast. When the bar closed, we went over the Chad’s house and we ended up sleeping next to each other in the little living room or whatever. When I woke up, she had moved into Dan’s bed and I guess that would be the point where all the fun ended.

I left before most of them were awake cause DMB tickets went on-sale. I picked up some tickets for Riverbend and for one of the Deer Creek nights. I got a ticket for Carissa and one for Kelly as well. So then after that I spent most of the day just loungin’ around Liam’s house. I made it home at one point just so I could get ready to party again. We were drinking from the keg again, well because we didn’t have enough people over the night before to kill it. Pretty much the same group of people came over but Dan was added into the mix. I guess Kelly and Chad were both mad at her for bringing him around me. It really didn’t bother me at first, cause I am still waiting for her to just end it all, but I guess for some crazy reason she still wants to try to work things out. Dan has no clue what happened, and I guess it is up to her to tell him. I don’t know what she is going to do. So we all sat around and drank. Eventually everyone headed out of the house to go to a party (for the youngins) or to the Library (the bar). I went to the party for a bit, but left shortly after getting there cause it wasn’t that good. I went to the bar, and this is where everything just started to bug me. I mean Carissa sat the entire night and talked to Dan. She knew I was there, but I guess she is still attempting to work the shit out. I mean she did send a few winks my way, but come on this is just ridiculous. So anyway I spent most of the night talking with Kelly. She was pretty upset for me, maybe even more so than I was. She knows how I feel, and was just shocked. One time Carissa came up to me and we had a little conversation that went along the lines of this:
Her: Ed, I’m sorry.
Me: Don’t be, don’t worry about it.
Her: I just don’t want to loose you as a friend.
Me: Ok
Her: We’ll talk about it sometime when we are alone.
Me: Ok

There are a few things that bug me about this. FRIEND, I can’t stand that word anymore. I hear it way to much and it is not a good thing when you are interesting in someone. I mean I guess she is sorry, not that I was really hurt, but I just want to know what is going on in her head. I will be glad to discuss all of this with her sometime, I just hope it is soon before anything else bad can happen. I think she might be just as confused, if not more, than I am. Every time she leaves a bar, she gives me a nice hug and even kisses my cheek or neck. I don’t really know many people who do that to anyone. And why would she initiate something with me. Kelly thinks that she will go right to me when they are done. But do I really want to be that guy? I know this entry is full of a bunch of questions, you can feel free to IM me with any suggestions or advice on what I should do. I am really just spitting out everything that is in my head.

So tonight, I have a hockey game. Then I’m gonna go to Byron’s birthday bash at some bar, I can’t remember which one. I guess Carissa is brining Dan there again. So I’m sure I’ll have some stories later on…

2002-04-02

It’s been a little while since I updated this thing, but I’m still doing better than I usually do. This past weekend was a great time…

Friday, pretty much everyone that I talk to on a frequent basis was over at Liam’s house for a party. Fighty, Pete and I played some songs and we even had some guesting from some of the many guitar players that were in the crowd. It was a great time, and I think everyone enjoyed that. Liam might have enjoyed his birthday a little too much though. :) He broke some glasses, puked at least once, and even passed out with my cell in his pocked. I was lost without that thing, so I spent a good chunk of the night trying to find it. I ended up crashing at Chad & Dan’s ‘camping out’ with Kelly. Overall it was a great night, and I finally got my phone back the next day.

Saturday, all the high school boys went over to Ken’s for some drinking and such. We all had a great time, maybe too much of a good time. :) I don’t even remember passing out on the couch. Nothing big really happened, although I did get to see Ken’s sister Amy again. I grew up in high school spending much time over at Ken’s parents house, so she was almost like a little sister to me too. Karen (Bryan’s ex) and her friend Kate came up from Tennessee, and that was good seeing them again.

Sunday was easter, so happy belated easter! I went to grandma’s house to hear everyone talk about the vacation my cousins and I took for spring break. It was fun to hear what some people had to say.

This week of school has been keeping me really busy. I don’t think I have made it home for dinner in quite a few days. I’m always either in class, working on classwork, or trying to have a social life which can be hard with a demanding schedule. I honestly haven’t been going out a bunch though just to hang out with Carissa. I have the best of times with her, and I think things kind of do look up for us. The only problem is that her and Dan are still dating or whatever, and she wants to try to work that out I guess. I’m not really sure what that means, but that is what Kelly told me. I guess for the time being, I will just keep hanging out and having a good time, as long as no one feels like I am stepping on their toes. It is kind of an awkward situation, but so many people think we are much better together than her and Dan. Ah well, not much I can really do about it now, although I think we may go to dinner on Thursday or something. I would just like to spend a little bit of time with her alone, when she isn’t working or something, so that we have time to just talk and have some fun. If that does happen, I’ll be sure to write about it here.

Tomorrow is Old Saloon night and apparently everyone is going to hit it up this week. That should be fun to get everyone back together again The concert schedule is starting to get packed as well. About time!

Take care everyone…

Yeah so I am back in school once again for this quarter. It has already been kicking my ass a bit. One of my classes seems to have a never ending supply of homework to do. This has really slowed me down too much though. I’ve been heading out to the bars pretty frequently with Jon, Kelly, Carissa, Chad & Dan, Brad, and sometimes other high school friends of mine. Jeff is in town for spring break, so it is always fun to hang out with him. My brother is also home from break, although I rarely see him cause I’m always out. I see him when I come home at night and when I leave in the morning in the same position, sleeping on the couch. :) Not much else to say really, except I feel like I always become the friend type to every girl I meet, and I can’t quite figure out why…

2002-03-23

I am back from Florida, but I don’t have much time to talk about my awesome trip. I did run into lots of people I knew from cincy though: Nick from class and a bunch of his friends, Lindsay, Chrissy, and Brooke. Beautiful women all over the beach. :) Here is what my Aunt Missy had to say about our trip…

Hi to all the Proud Mom’s and Dad’s!
Just wanted to give you the lowdown on the Busch Boys and company in South Florida……
The boys arrived on Saturday after a speedy 17 hours of travel and were successful in avoiding the law! They all looked good and ready to party however young Rob looked like he had been beaten, he was exhausted! After a brief nap by all in front of the big screen watching hoops, the boys were fed and ready to party! Uncle Matt played hired driver for the night and took them to Ft. Lauderdale Beach. They frequented several fine establishments including Howl at the Moon Saloon, Fat Tuesdays and the world famous Elbow Room. I was told that the “shots were free and they even poured them straight into your mouth from the bottle”!! I can only imagine! Anyway, they apparently had a wonderful time. Matt pulled the ‘spring break mobile’ into the driveway at 4:53am. I felt all in all they had a successful outing since only Adam had to be carried into the house on night number one! I was awakened by the guard dog, Sammy and I only heard Matt tell one of the boys, “just put him anywhere”!! Then I heard a thud…that was Adam being dropped onto the family room floor by Rob!!
Jim was the first to awaken on Sunday about 11am. Matt made a big breakfast and by 1p the scent of food had awakened the sleeping darlings except for Rob who probably crawled out around 2:30 or so!! Of course, he did drive the whole way and had been awake 30 hours prior to the drink fest!
The boys then went to the pool to drown their sorrows from the stunning lost by the Bearcats! Upon their return to the house, they again were fed and even Eddie ate! Matt made Lasagna so we were a little surprised Eddie ate it but he informed us that he isn’t “like he used to be!” I made them all ice cream sundays and Joey was heard saying, “Man, this is so awesome”!! I have decided that I would like him to wait for Allie to grow up, he is so cute and nice!
Anyway, the boys shot some hoops with Phil outside and were all surprised at the game Phil gave them!
After freshening up a bit (a lot was needed!) the Sping Break Mobile with it’s driver, Uncle Matt again left the home and this time headed for South Beach! Oh what a night they had!!
I again was awakened about 5:15am by my guard dog/psychotic dog, Sammy! This time I heard no noise just the garage door opening and shuting several times. I laid in bed listening and figured something must be going on outside. Well, as it turns out, Matt was actually outside washing the Spring Break Mobile because apparantly, young Rob didn’t hold his liquor very well on the way home!! In fact, he fell out of the car upon arriving home and into the neighbors yard face down and hurling all the while the neighbors sprinklers were on!! Matt is still laughing!! The poor boy was soaked and miserable. Matt carried him into the house and placed him in front of the porcelin bus and then went back to Eddie who he had to carry into the house and placed him into the chair in the family room. Matt said there was no way he was carrying him up those stairs!!! He then assisted Adam and Joey into the house. Jimmy was the only one who made it in on his own accord and climbed the staircase to a private room!! He probably slept like a baby!
I then got up for work because I couldn’t sleep due to Rob driving the bus so frequently and loudly. I found Adam and Joey fully clothed including shoes and sound asleep on the sofa bed in the family room. Snoring LOUDLY all three of them, remember Eddie was in the chair! I then went into the kitchen, made toast and put a smoothie in the blender with ice, turned it on and made all kinds of racket but the snoring never missed a beat!! Phil came downstairs to get breakfast prior to leaving for school and just looked in to the family room and cracked up laughing! He was followed by Allie!
Let me tell all of you that we are having so much frun with these boys! I have laughed until I have cried all morning over the events of the past two nights! Matt has enjoyed every minute of being their driver. I am so glad it was him and not me, #1 I can’t carry any of them and #2 I would have never made it until 5am! I guess Matt has the duty again tonight but I have a feeling Rob might not be hanging with the boys much tonight! Matt leaves tomorrow afternoon for Houston so I am up to bat on Tuesday. I aleady scheduled myself off work on Wednesday. My friend Karen Lupo (she can probably keep up with the boys drinking!) and I are going to take them out on Tuesday night. I will keep you posted.
Okay, that is it for today….Remember us in your prayers!
Seriously, we are having fun and enjoying it! I told them all that tonight is the last night Uncle Matt is cooking since he is leaving. I will be taking them out to dinner Tuesday and Wednesday so they won’t go home and talk bad about how I tried to kill them all with my cooking!
Take care!
Missy

One more little story that Matt shared with me….
Apparantly, the boys were quite disgusted by the numerous gay men that they saw fondling one another on South Beach. Anyway, while walking back to the car to leave, Adam made a remark about a girl as she walked by him saying, “wow, check on her ass” the girl then turned around and said to Adam, “don’t you think of coming near my ass unless you got $200”!! Adam then said, “oh shit, she’s a hooker!”
A few minutes later, several black hookers came up to the boys and apparantly the four girls surrounded Joey and Matt happily took a picture of the event!!!!
The drink of the night was a frozen drink called “call a cab”!!!! How appropriate and fortunatly they had a driver!!! Matt said it knocked them on their butts!
I just can’t stop laughing!!!!
Bye again!

And so the story goes…..
After young Rob finished driving the porcelein bus he managed to get a little sleep. Matt says the boys all woke up around 2p, he made them a big breakfast of pancakes and Rob actually ate 6 of them! Who would have thunk! Rob was actually drinking a beer when I got home! What an iron stomach afterall! They then decided to head for the beach to “dry out a little bit”!! Matt packed them sandwiches and drinks in a cooler and off they went!
The boys arrived home alittle ahead of my getting home from the office around 7p. They were all talking at once to me reliving the night before! They were so excited! Rob just smiled and didn’t say a whole lot! I then retreived my story I had written to “all the proud moms and dads” yesterday and read it to them. I had quite the captivated audience. They were howling! Do you have any idea what it is like to have 5 boys talking at once? We were cracking up. It was so much fun! I wish you could have seen Phil’s face during this and at the dinner table when they were telling all their stories. He was totally mesmerized by all of them and taking it all in. I believe it was at this point that the corruption of my son actually started happening! The conversation then went to trying to figure out who was going to be the first cousin to get married. Matt piped up and said something about Phil and how the boys were eventually going to have a cousin named “huleo” because Phil only dates Cuban chicks! Phil was so funny when that was said! He buried his face in his baseball cap and the boys were dying laughing!
Matt once again fed the boys a hearty meal of meatloaf and baked potatoes and vegetables followed by ice cream. We literally had 5 pigs at the table on this one! I really had no idea how much they could eat at one sitting!
Matt decided last night that he needed some rest for his travel day today so the boys decided Joey was going to be DD of the evening since they lost their hired driver so soon into the week!
They left about 10p to head to Ft. Lauderdale Beach. I made sure they had our number just in case. At 4am, Sammy snuggled up next to me in bed and woke me up. It was then that I realized I hadn’t been awakened yet but it was still early. I dozed on and off, kept waking and wondering. Finally at 5:30 I got up and my mind was starting to wander about all the things that could be happening at that moment. I figured the police probably had them or something! I had told them before they left that I had a “get out of jail free” card from AAA and to call if they needed it!! I also told them that I really didn’t want to find out if it worked or not! I woke Matt who told me to go to sleep, they probably found some girls and were being taken care of just fine!
Well Thank Goodness someone had a little common sense because at 6:17am Jimmy called me and stated, “Aunt Missy, we aren’t coming home tonight, we’ll be home tomorrow.” I said, “Jimmy, it is tomorrow”!!! He seemed surprised by that!! Then Adam grabbed the phone and slurred something into it!! Then the whole group yelled “Hi Aunt Missy”!!! I have no idea who the whole group was or where they were but they were having a blast I am sure! Jim said they were hanging out at a hotel on the beach and some guys were going to let them crash there if they wanted to! Bottom line, I guess Matt was right about what they were doing!! I was just glad they called to let me know to stop worrying which I did! Now, I am dying to find out what they have been doing all night!!!!! I am sure it will be loud when I get home tonight again!
I was already worried about it being my turn to take them out on Tuesday, well it is Tuesday and I am freaking out about taking them out!! I think maybe I will get them a room on the beach instead!!! I am too old to run with this group!
I was worried about what the housekeeper was going to think of all the drunk and sleeping thugs in my house this morning when she arrived. At least now, I can save my image with her!
Until tomorrow………..
Missy

And so the story goes…….

I am sure that you are all on the edge of your seats dying to find out how poor Aunt Missy fared on her big night out with the boys….well….
Upon arriving home, I found 5 napping boys in the house! They were still out from the previous night of fun! One by one they woke up and informed me they were starving! So what else is new!!! We all loaded into the Spring Break Mobile and headed for Pines Ale House!
We started out with a huge, huge plate of chicken nachoes which usually my little family of 4 only makes a dent in if we get it and it is our meal! I couldn’t believe my eyes when 10 minutes later all that was left were crumbs of chips!! I believe that should have set a record at the Ale House for fastest time to devour those things!
The special of the night was all you can eat Crab Legs!! Rob was in heaven! In fact the whole time we were there, Rob didn’t say much because he was too busy shoveling it in as fast as he could! Crack and eat, Crack and eat! He had the system down pretty good! Everyone ate up, Phil was all eyes again as he dreamed of the future while he sat and listened to the stories of the boys from the previous night! At one point, Phil yelled out..”I can’t wait for this!” Oh my, the corruption continues! How I ever thought that wouldn’t happen when the boys came to town!
At least I am now prepared for things to come with my son!!
Beer was flowing, Long Island Iced Teas were flowing, everyone was having a great dinner! I surprised them with huge brownie sundaes and Captain Jack’s Buried Treasure which is to dye for!! They loved it!
We then took the twins home and headed for Ft. Lauderdale Beach! The excitement filled the Spring Break Mobile as we traveled to the beach! We decided that I would drop them off and pick them up when they called me! Sorry to disappoint everyone but I just didn’t think I could run with the big dogs and I didn’t want to leave the twins home alone all night. Anyway, I dropped them off at Seven Eleven by the Elbow Room and back home I went. My major concern was that no one would be able to figure out how to use a phone to call me or they coudn’t find their way back to the Spring Break Mobile pick up area!!
At 3:37am the phone rang and it was Jimmy announcing they had “had enough” and were coming home “early” so they could go to the beach tomorrow! I set out to get them and sure enough, they were at the assigned spot and waiting on me when I got there! I surprised them by bringing along with me a few Publix grocery bags and I demonstrated that the handles of the bags conveniently fit over their ears for the little alcohol mishaps that might occur along the way home! I had them howling! All were still standing and all were very very happy and talkative! Lucky me, I got Adam up front!! He didn’t stop talking (loudly) the entire way home. He was hanging out the sunroof, playing a plastic fishbowl like a bongo, and repeatedly told me that I was the best Aunt in the whole wide world!!! We even had a plastic alligator that Rob found somewhere and I named Ralph is honor of Rob’s first night out! We had a very loud and humerous ride home. This night it was Jimmy who was struggling to maintain balance and alertness on our ride home! He kept slumping over in the car! Rob decided he had to go “potty” so we had to made a pit stop at the Shell station. I guess that never really stops does it!!! From Shell we went to an all night McDonalds because Adam was hungry! I once again fed most of them and home the Spring Break Mobile went! The boys went outside to chat and I crawled to my bed with the pups!
So, that was the night..Not as exciting as the previous nights but fun for all! The boys have run into people they actually know from UC, Eddie has seen 11 people that he knows so far!
Adam has collected no phone numbers to this point much to his disappointment! It isn’t for lack of trying I am sure! They finally found a good pick up line, “how ya doin?” (from the commercial) We’ll see if that produces any romance for the boys!
I woke up the boys at 11am as I sang thru the intercom system, they came a running to stop the noise! They were fed and packed up for the beach! I gave them directions to South Beach and hopefully they will find their way home tonight!
We are still having a good time and I think the boys are having the time of their life here! I may not get rid of them!! They are all dreading going home tomorrow! I think they are planning to start out for home in the evening but I will contact Bev or Claire to let them know they are on the road.
I am really going to miss them all! They have been so much fun and I havn’t laughed so much in a long time! I am so glad Matt and I have been able to give them a place to go to and an enjoyable time! They are all such good kids and a pleasure to entertain.
Good job Moms and Dads!
Until tomorrow…….
Missy

Good Morning All!
I have been told that I made some of you wait too long yesterday for Part 3 so I have made Part 4 a priority to my morning so as not to disappoint anyone again!

AND SO THE STORY GOES:

The Spring Breakers arrived home from South Beach around 7pm. They all were moaning and groaning about how sunburned they had gotten. Of course, they took sunblock but no one took the time to apply it. So, I got out the Aloe and lubbed them all up, handed out Tylenol, and provided a needle so Jim could dig a piece of sand out of his toe! I tell you, I feel like I have 7 children suddenly! The stories were once again flowing rapidly from one to another about the adventures of the day! I was told that the beach was very crowded but they still managed to view a few topless sunbathers! I just hope they didn’t gawk too obviously!
Everyone rested for awhile in front of the big screen and out on the patio, Joey enjoyed his nightly bowl of ice cream!
The guys managed to clean up and continue on once again to Ft. Lauderdale Beach around 10:30pm. Rob and Jim decided they would not be drinking “much” because they didn’t want to feel bad for the drive home on Friday. I was told that the nights target was going to be Joey! The guys felt Joey needed to get good and drunk so they were on a mission!
About 5am, once again Guard Dog Sammy awoke to a clatter coming from the foyer! Upon inspection, Adam was falling thru the front door! This of course was after he rang the doorbell multiple times because he “liked the sound it makes”! Fortuanately, Rob stopped the music maker and got him inside the house! Jim headed straight up the stairs and to his room, Joey dove onto the sofa bed, Ed sat on the side of the sofa bed in a fairly alert state trying to figure out what Adam was talking about as he chattered on! As I was listening to this from the bedroom, I decided I had to go out to the family room because I needed new material for my next story!!! The boys thought that was funny! So, at 5:15am we all sat on the sofa bed and listened to Adam’s rambling! Apparantly, once again the boys had a great time at the clubs! On their way home, Adam slept. The boys stopped for breakfast at Denny’s and Adam didn’t wake up. After eating, they went a little further when Adam sat up and announced he was hungry and wanted to go to the Waffle House for breakfast! They told him to go back to sleep because he already ate! He asked, “I did? Oh okay!” A few minutes later Adam told Rob to pull over “NOW”, because he had to go to the bathroom. Rob stopped at a gas station, woke up Adam who asked why they were there and then Rob informed him he had to go to the bathroom and Adam said, “I do?” Apparantly, Adam was a hoot on the way home!
Adam got on his soapbox about “Adamism” which had us laughing. I finally decided I had to go to bed because my alarm clock was going off soon!
Night 5 really was pretty mild compared to the others.
Today, the boys are going to see the alligators and take an air boat ride! That should be interesting! Matt is home with the boys today so who knows what kind of trouble they will find!
I told the boys that tonight I had a special event planned prior to their departure. I have prepared awards and we are going to present them tonight!
I don’t want to keep anyone in suspense, so here are the list of winners:

“No Hurl Award” presented to Adam, Joey, Jim, and Ed for outstanding achievement
in alcohol consumption!
“Gardner Award” presented to Rob for outstanding achievement in yard fertilization
(remember the first night, face down, sprinklers on and hurling!)
“Mountain Climber Award” presented to Jim for outstanding achievement in climbing
the stairs to his room nightly!
“Last Man Standing Award” presented to Joey for achievement in walking in from the
car nightly!
“Potato Sack Award” presented to Adam for most times being carried in from the
car!

I have a couple of other surprises for them! It should prove to be a fun evening I hope!

I am sure I will have one more segment worth of material for you so look for it in tomorrow’s letter!

Until tomorrow…..
Missy

2002-03-15

Typically I start writing about the days that were the furthest in the past, but this time I have to start with the past couple of days. So last night and tonight, I went out to the bars with a bunch of my high school buddies, and a few others. It is always great when I can get together with these guys and just have the wonderful times we had years ago. This isn’t really the reason I had to start with these days though. Kelly’s friend, Carissa, is amazing. She is honestly one of the coolest people that I have been around in quite some time. She is so easy for me to talk to, and has the same sense of humor as me. Slight problem, she is/was dating Kelly’s boyfriend (Chad) twin brother, but they just aren’t working out well. Chad even said that we would probably be better together. I’m still not really pushing anything, I guess that is just the way I am, or least the way I have been since the last break-up. I’ll just have to let it all play out, and see what happens. I’m leaving for Florida tomorrow anyway, so there isn’t much I can do right now…
I seriously haven’t been this excited about a girl in quite some time. I really look forward to seeing how this all works out. I’ll be fine either way it goes. :)

This is so interesting though, because Bryan and I were just talking a few days ago about how we are destined to be friends with every girl we meet and nothing more. This has nothing to do with anyone in particular, it just seems that this is the way it always goes. :) I guess in time they all want to find the guys like this though….

About the other days, well I think they are unimportant right now. I’ll sum it up: drunk night on monday with all the guys in clifton finishing their finals, and a movie on tuesday. :)

I’m out of here tomorrow, so I hope everyone stays well and I’ll see you all soon…

2002-03-10

So friday night, Liam and I drove up to Cleveland for the VACO show. We met a bunch of people up there, including Kraut, b man, adam c, lupson, sam see, tangus, etc. EZ from Woodside Quinn was also at the show, and he told us about the show they were playing in cleveland the next night. The one opening band that we saw, Mojo, was not really that good. The singer they had was very attractive but almost on the dirty side. oooops…. The VACO show was great as usual. I got a recording of it, but gave the discs to tangus so he could run a matrix or something. The girls in Cleveland were a nice treat too, well at least to look at. :) After the show we hung out at Peabody’s for a bit, and then went to Krauts house for some drinking and movie watching.

The next day we decided to stay in town to watch the Woodside Quinn show. For most of the day we sat around Kraut’s and watched movies and basketball. ‘Almost Famous’ is a great movie by the way. I can’t believe I had never seen it before this weekend. So eventually, Liam and I headed to the show. Kraut stayed home to do some ‘work’ since we were distracting him all day. The show was a marathon show of 3.5 hours. I couldn’t believe how many songs they played, something like 28! It is always good to see these guys, even in such a small place with a minimal crowd there to see them.

We finally drove back to cincy today, and I’m just sitting around relaxing right now…

2002-03-08

Tonight ending up being alright. I went directly from work down to clifton to pick up Liam. We then went to Chipotle! YUMMI! From there we went downtown to go see the bearcats in action in the conference usa tournament. We knew ahead of time that we could get $15 tickets at the door with our student id’s. On the way there we ran into some scalpers. They wanted like 20 and 25 bucks a ticket. We told them about the student tickets and they tried to offer their’s at the same price. We said we would just go buy them up there, and then they ending up offering them to us for $10 a piece. You can’t beat that. So we went to the game… It wasn’t the same as seeing them at the shoe on campus, but it was fun. We ran into fighty and his dad and ended up sitting with them for the second half. We won, of course, and will be playing tomorrow. I will not be going though, instead I’ll see a great VACO show…

2002-03-07

Last night, I went to an advance screening of All About The Banjamins down on campus. It was an another free PAC movie, so Lam was there and fighty came along with me. The movie was alright, but it got tons of laughter from the audience. I’m not complaining, I’m just glad I saw it for free. After that we picked up some beers and went over to Liam’s place to check out the new bar they built in the basement. It was really cool, and I was quite impressed by their carpenter skills. :) I’m not sure what is going on tonight, but I know that tomorrow I’ll be going to Cleveland for another VACO show…

SPRING BREAK IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER! I hope my aunt has some luck in getting me and some cousins a beach house on South Beach. No matter what I’ll be in Florida though. :D

I have a new favorite place in town, not that I really had a favorite place in town before, but anyway it is called Newport On The Levee. Technically it is in Northern Kentucky, but it is right across the river from downtown. That is where I went to see We Were Soldiers with Lutz, Halp and Jon. The girls decided not to go, but it’s not really surprising anyway. :) The movie was good and entertaining, not one of the best war movies, but it is worth seeing. The theater down there is amazing, it only cost 6 dollars for us to get in with student id’s, while out here by my house we pay something over 8. The theater was stadium style seating, and the chairs were great, you could move the arm rests out of the way and just kick back. This blows the theaters on this side of the river out of the water.

The area over there is just incredible. It is right by the aquarium and restaurants are popping up all around. It sits right on the river, and is a perfect candidate for a date spot. Now I just need to find the girl, hehe. Well I just had to talk about this place that I hope to visit soon. Oh yeah the pizza place there is where Sara works so I’ll have to get there sometime soon as well…

Thursday. Hmm… I can’t really remember what I did. All I know is that I need to update my list of shows that I have seen before I forget them all. That will have to come sometime later.

Friday, the typical crew went up to Columbus for a Virginia Coalition and Llama show. We met up at Joe Vedder’s place to sit around, drink some beers, and just catch up on old times. Anne and a friend decided to go to the show with us, so they met us up at Joe’s and after awhile we all found rides to the place, Little Brothers. Carrie and Mike were up at the show, and it is always a blast to hang out and talk to them. Carrie just loves to hear my stories about my life. :) Her brother Dave was at the show as well, so I finally got to meet him. We were all having a great time, and some of us got really banged up. I know I was one of those people, and Liam even said that I drank more beers than minutes I talked to Anne. I felt bad about that, but I talked to her and she didn’t really seem to mind. I was just the one that invited her to the show, and I guess I should have done a little better there. In the end though, she loved VACO and wants to see them again. We got some pizzas and passed out eventually.

Saturday, not much went on besides some drinking over at Liam’s place. Always a fun time though.

Sunday we woke up early because of the bearcats game against Memphis. We had some beers and then headed over to the game. We had almost a complete row of people and it was a very good time. We were feeling pretty good because most people didn’t eat anything and just pounded a few beers. The game was sweet. All the way down to the wire, and then an overtime victory for the cats. What a game! After that we kind of chilled out for a bit, ate some food, etc. then went over the VACO/Llama show at Top Cat’s later that night. As usual the crowd was small, but what can you expect from cincy. The shows were both really good, and I was more than happy to pay the 8 bucks to get in although Ben Brown of Llama said he would put me on the list. I guess Top Cat’s didn’t have a list or something, but it really didn’t matter to me. I was very impressed as usual by both bands…

Yesterday, another exciting day of work! :) Later on, fighty and I hit up Montgomery Inn for the Bob Huggins radio show. Man is that guy funny, especially when off the air. Then I “helped” fighty with his programming homework and went home.

I guess tonight, Lutz is trying to convince a group of girls to go to the movies with us. I’ll see how well he does. :)
