Could I seriously have any more fun than I am at this time in my life? I don’t know if it’s possible. I’ll just say that this weekend was another great one, and that Kate is the best! More to come later, it’s late and I have a presentation in the morning…

I shouldn’t skip class anymore. I totally forgot that I had to turn in homework in Operating Systems today and I skipped it. Damn I feel dumb now. The good news is that we only have this week and next week left of class. Always a nice feeling, but I just wish I could figure my damn scheduling out. I’ve been looking at it and trying to figure out what the hell I need to take for my last year of college. Enough about school, I don’t have class tomorrow. :)

These past few days I have been spending as much time as possible with Kate, and I’m still not tired of her yet. :) I have just been having so much fun with her. Monday night we watched a movie over at Jessica’s house for the second week in a row. Then Liam and I both stayed over in her and Steph’s room. Tuesday I went out with all the high school boys for a bit. It was good to see some of them that I hadn’t seen in a long time. We always have a good time. Then I went over to Kate’s again and crashed with her again. Always a great time!!! I really can’t get enough of her…

Tonight we are going to grab a bite to eat and then possibly head to a show with Liam and Steph. I’m sure it will be fun whatever we end up doing. It’s a good thing when time flies by when you are with someone, isn’t it? We are officially the masters of killing time with good times…

Yeah so as of Friday I am taken. Sorry ladies. :) Seriously though, I couldn’t be happier right now!!! Kate is an amazing person and such a sweetheart…

Let’s see, the past few days…

Thursday night, we did not get a quarter barrel like originally planned, I just bought $60 in alcohol instead. I did get paid back though. We just did some partying over at Liam’s. It was a good time!

Friday I went to all my classes but one. What a surprise huh? Later on that night we just partied it up at Liam’s house again. Wait I think it was this night that I bought a ton of alcohol. Oh well, not really important. Fighty and I had some practicing to do so we played, and played, and played. 3 hours and 54 songs or partial songs later we decided to quit. :) Peter and Mark were jamming with us, and our version of Delicate Few was SIC! Eventually it was time for some sleep, so Kate, Liam, Steph and I went up to their dorm room. Always fun times there…

Saturday we were off to Columbus for the OAR show. What a drunk time that was. I don’t remember much past 2 AM, and apparently I was still drinking then. All I know is that it was fun, and I would do it again. I’m not gonna say much more about it right now, maybe later. But it is always good to see everyone again, especially Weeba who I haven’t seen in quite some time. We are guaranteed some drunk times together.

Tonight I went out to dinner and a movie with Kate. I finally ate at that Dewey’s pizza place. It is very good. Then we went and saw STAR WARS! I was really impressed with this one. I recommend everyone should see it, and do it soon. I guess it was really me and Kate’s first date. That is pretty funny if you think about it, but we are often in a group of people. It was a very good time, the best ‘first date’ I have had. :) She seriously makes me so happy, and I really hope it stays that way.

Alright it’s late and I’m worn out. Off to bed, take care…

Wow, I have been busy. Let’s see Sunday I just played a hockey game and rested up the rest of the night for the new week.

Monday I had another hockey game, then I headed to Clifton for what I thought would be an early night. It definitely was not, and it was the start of a very awesome week. Liam and I met up with Kate and Steph and headed over to Jessica’s house to watch a movie with her and Nick. We started with Cool Runnings, which I hadn’t seen in quite some time but always love to see. Kate was trying to study the whole time, but we were really distracting her. The test looked easy enough anyways, and I think she did good on it. After that movie was done, we put in Almost Famous. I really like this movie and was glad everyone decided on this one. I made it pretty far into the movie but eventually feel asleep for parts of it We walked the girls back home and by this time it was like 4 AM. I decided to just stay at Liam’s house and go to his early class with him since I would actually get more sleep then if I drove home.

So I went to his history of jazz and pop music class and learned about Rastafarians and Reggae. Pretty cool class. I went to a few of my classes, and then went with Kate to her Human Sexuality class. Here I got learn all about signals that girls give to guys and I realized how bad I am at picking them up, especially when Kate was telling me about the signals she had used the first night we met. I must have just been too busy playing Moose to realize. About signals though, is a lap dance one of them? :) It was a very interesting class, and the prof. is always very funny. I think I have been to that class 4 or 5 times and I have never been registered for it. After class, I decided to run some errands with Kate. We went out to her Dad’s house in West Chester where I got to meet him and Kate’s younger sister as well, oh yeah all the pets too! We ran around to do some errands, I got some tickets for this weekends OAR concert in Columbus for Fighty, Lenny and myself. It should be a hell of a time, especially since Weeba is coming up for this one. I have some of my drunkest moments with that kid. :) We also had to take her car into the shop to get fixed, and after all that was done we headed to Max & Erma’s for some dinner. I have really only been there a few times, but it is really good. She works there so we got a very cheap bill, and she even paid for it. What a girl! From there I had to some studying so we went back down to campus and I went up with her to her dorm room. I tried to study for many many hours but it just wasn’t working very well. I left there about 1 and headed home, the whole time thinking how great of a day it was.

The next day, my test sucked badly, but I tried my best. After all that Liam and I tried to find a house again. Yes, we are still looking for a place to live next year, but I have a feelings we’ll figure it all out soon. I had yet another hockey game, but this one was the best one yet. Kate came and saw our first victory. My mom also came, and my brother officially joined our team for the summer. We headed to the bar at the rink for a few drinks and the older guys were all buying pitchers to celebrate the victory. It was cool, but we had to head to the Saloon because it was a Wed. night! I even got my mom and brother to come out for a bit. It was a great time, and I did a little singing for my mommy and for Kate of course.

These last couple days have been amazing, it’s hard when they end. There is just something about this girl, but I am so happy when I’m around her, and I know you are reading this now Kate. I have to watch what I say, just kidding. :)

Tonight we are having a huge group dinner at Don Pablo’s followed up with some drinking and practicing for this weekends show over at Liam’s. It should be another fantastic day…

2002-05-12

Yeah! What another fantastic weekend. As most should know, it was Jammin’ On Main this weekend in Cincy. The weekend started early on Thursday, like we have been doing lately. Nothing too big, but it was big enough to make class the next day seem like an awful idea. All the regular crowd was over there, and we even played some drinking games. :)

So Friday, I went to a class. Yeah, I decided to not go to quite a few of them, because it just didn’t sound like fun. :) We got a keg very early on, and the drinking began as soon as everyone was out of class. Wacko dropped in to go to the show with us. It’s always a good time when that crazy kid is around. After a much needed session of drinking, we caught the bus downtown to the show. We got there pretty early, and realized we didn’t want to see any of the bands that were on. We walked all around the place to get a better idea, and the setup looked pretty nice actually. After doing this for some time, it was time to catch Jack Johnson, who gets a bunch of hype. I was really expecting good things, but I was let down. His studio stuff is pretty damn good, but live show lacks something. The energy wasn’t there, and I was hoping for a jam or two… After seeing that I pretty much made up my mind that I wasn’t going to watch Mayer, but see the Roots instead. I think I made the right choice in the end, because the roots are great. I heard that the mayer show was very similar to the newport in Columbus I just went to a few weeks ago. The rest of the night was filled with more drinking over at Liam’s. Although Kate wasn’t able to make it to the show because of work, she came down for the partying afterwards. A random guy from a local band (60 Cycle Hum) came into the house and jammed out with fighty and myself on some songs. Rumor has it, fighty may play the mad frog. For me the night ended with walking Kate back up to the dorm, hanging outside there for some time, and then walking back to crash on Liam’s couch.

I woke up Saturday to a glass of water being poured on me by fighty. Sometimes I want to kill him. :) There was only a little beer left in the keg from Friday, so that was polished off pretty quickly and then we went to get another one. We went out to the eastgate mall for the OAR in-store. They ended up not playing, so I just kept thinking about going back and drinking more. Eventually we did, and good crowd of people showed up over there. We piled about 20 people onto the bus, and headed down to the show. I got to see Howie Day again, and that is always a treat. OAR took the stage and the place was packed. The show was incredible. Junior Marvin, who was a Wailer for Bob Marley, sat in with the guys for about half the set. It was ridiculous. :) Tons of people were watching this show. I have heard guesses that are around 10000 people or so. The bus ride home was something else. Singing the star spangled banner, having the head of something come on the bus to tell us to shut up, etc. I swear I knew about 75% of the people on that thing. So we finally made it back to Liam’s to drink some more. The typical crowd is all there plus the 20 or so people that were partying with us earlier. I ended up making some music with 2 of pitcock’s buddies. Always a good time. It was a very good time, and we even ended up killing the keg the same night. I ended up leaving the party to make room for others to crash. Kate and I walked up to her dorm and we stayed there. I swear we can kill time like no other people alive. She is such a cool person and a blast to hang out with. At one point I remembering it being like 8 in the morning. I think that is about as long as I made it, but needless to say I didn’t get much sleep. Kate and Steph always have to work the early shift, so I think I slept for 2 hours. Oh well, I’m starting to feel tired again right now, but I have a hockey game. I’m not sure what I’m doing tonight, but I hope everyone had as great of a weekend as I did…

2002-05-09

Tuesday night we just all sat around Liam’s house for most of the night doing some drinking. I must have made 3 trips up to Stop n’ Rob so I wonder what the people up there think about me. Especially since we were celebrating ghetto style with mostly 40s all day…

Wednesday I went to Lexington right after class with Liam and Fighty to see a Llama at some small university called Transylvania. It was a great OUTSIDE show, and it is always really cool to see these guys. Milafalo met us up at the show and we chilled with him for a bit after, but soon went back home. Later on in the night I went to some downtown lounge with Callsen, Jessica, Kate and Steph. I think we just missed the ID checker, so they were all able to drink while down there. We went to see a guy play who works with Kate and Steph. I was relatively impressed by both bands that played. The bar is a really cool place, very relaxed and full of interesting types of people. I may have to check that place out again sometime in the future.

So as usual, I am sitting here at work updating this thing. I’m about to run out to Mar’s (the Musician’s Planet) to pick up some stuff for this weekend. That’s right today starts the beginning of the weekend, or at least we all seem to think so. :) So we are gonna pick up a keg later on today for tomorrow day/night whatever, but I’m sure we’ll starting drinking on it tonight. This weekend should be a great time. Lots of people are coming in from out of town for the show, hell Jay is even flying in from England! He’s a crazy guy. :) I hope the weather holds up and that we figure out how we are going to get down there each night. I’m sure we’ll think of something creative, cause we always do.

Alright I’m gonna get working on this long lunch break If you aren’t in Cincy this weekend, what the hell is wrong with you???

2002-05-07

Went to the bars for a bit tonight. It gave me a chance to have some fun and get some stuff off of my mind. I really don’t know how the rest of this week is going to work out, but I hope it is for the best…

How beautiful of a song is I’ll Back You Up. If you don’t know download it and listen to it. Incredible!

I’m going to bed shortly, but I may try and revise a song before I do so. Good night world!
This is what I have so far….

Thinking about the days gone by
I sit and wonder where you are
and what ever happened to us
if I could do anything at all
to have you here with me
I would give anything away
just for one more day with you

I can see so many stars tonight,
But they do not compare to the twinkle in your eye.
You are not here sitting next to me,
Although in my heart I wish you would be.

There was once a time when
I believed I had found my perfect match
and that we would have forever
If I cannot have you in my life
I hope for someone like you
to take your place eternally

I can see so many stars tonight,
But they do not compare to the twinkle in your eye.
You are not here sitting next to me,
Although in my heart I wish you would be.

There isn’t much else to say,
I will always think of you everyday.
Each single day
From now on
I will always love
and think about you

I can see so many stars tonight,
But they do not compare to the twinkle in your eye.
You are not here sitting next to me,
Although in my heart I wish you would be.

Well as usual I have been staying really busy with school and trying to keep my social life going strong. Wednesday I ended up at the Old Saloon, and surprisingly just about everyone that went there in the summer was there. It was a really good time, but I was still suffering from my cold. I think it was a cold, however now I am starting to wonder if maybe it’s my allergies coming back for the wonderful spring time. I guess I should start taking those Allegra pills of mine again.

Lately, Liam and all his roommates along with the typical people we party with have starting partying hard on thursday nights. So I went with them this past Thursday over to Jessica’s house (Nick’s girlfriend). It was a really good time full of drinking games and many funny moments. The only thing that kind of sucked was realizing that I still had to get up at 9 so that I could make it to my classes. Well somehow I pulled it off and made it to my 10. I skipped a few classes that day just because I felt pretty shitty from the combination of sickness/allergies and the beer from the night before. Overall, it was a really good time though.

Later on friday, I headed up to Miami U. with all my high school buddies. We crammed into Halp’s minivan and began drinking right away, well everyone besides Halp since he was driving. :) We make it to Miami after a few stops, and most of us were feeling really good. We hit a bar, and then got ready to see Red Wanting Blue play. At some point Ken and I decided that we were just going to kiss all kinds of girls on the cheek. Well little did we know (maybe he did) but we actually picked up some girls from doing this. These two girls followed us around for a good chunk of the night just making out with us whenever and wherever. I guess you can’t really complain about that. I really didn’t catch much of RWB’s set because of the girls and our desire to go to the bars to drink more. You couldn’t drink on the street, and that was my only real complaint. I ran into all kinds of people that I know, and met a very cool girl (Johnna) from the Red Wanting Blue message board. I had talked to her pretty frequently over IM and we had plans to meet up at the show. Yeah so somehow Ken and I lost these two girls so we just went on our mission to find more. :) We lost most of our friends, and ended up just staying up in Miami while the others went home. The band after RWB called The Ark Band really caught my attention. They are a reggae band that put on a great show. I will definitely have to check these guys out in the future. After that was over, we grabbed some food and wandered over to Bill’s house to crash. Luckily someone was there, even though Bill wasn’t, and he said that we could crash there.

So we woke up on Sat. and realized we needed to get a ride. Well I called home and my mom said she would come and get us, but in the end it was my dad who ended up doing it. Normally the drive is very short, but this day was graduation day, so the solo road that goes into town was full of traffic. I felt really bad, but I think he was just relaxing for the next days marathon anyway. So we finally do get home…

Later on that day I went down to Clifton to do some partying. We started partying at Liam’s of course, and after we felt good and ready went over to some dudes house to drink a few margaritas. They were strong but quite good. Definitely worth the trip there. After a few drinks we decided to walk up the street to Stratford for the big block party. Once we hit the street we see the hundreds and hundreds of people that were already there and a big couch fire in the middle of the road. At this point we walked up towards all the action but stood off to the side since we realized what was going to happen. The cops finally did show up and what resulted was another fire, beenbags and rubber bullets being fired by the cops, broken car windshields, tear gas, among many other things. Click here for a story written by the local newspaper. I finally made it out of all that mess and headed back to Liam’s house. I walked in to find fighty (the next proclaimed John Mayer ~diddy) playing some music for everyone there. He has been just going at it late night lately while drunk and doing really cool shit. So I grabbed the trusty bongos and we played some songs. Always a good time. Then we eventually turned some CD’s on and had our little dance party going on. People were taking clothes off and everyone was pounding some drinks. This all lasted till pretty late in the night, something like 4 or so. Eventually we went outside to chill out for a bit and then people started going to bed. A group of us decided that we should try and stay awake and go to breakfast a little later on. A girl by the name of Kate took a liking to me, and we devoted a good amount of this time wasting to making out. :) We were all doing really well staying awake, but the last I can remember is that it was 7:30 or so and I felt wide awake. Obviously I wasn’t caused I must have passed out right after that…

What a great weekend. The only thing I should have done was started working on my project for class earlier. I don’t think that we are even done with it now and it was due at midnight. Ah well, at least we should be done soon.

Have a great week everyone!!!!
