Kate did call the next day, so everything is cool. :-) Let’s see, the VACO show was excellent as usual. I saw most of the Columbus folks out at the show and Pat even started to pay me back for all the beer I bought him in Pitt. Well, Pig-Fest is tomorrow and we still have quite a bit of stuff to take care of. I think I’m only going to work for a little bit more, then it’s time to go home and work my butt off. I am very excited for this years party though, I think it should be the best one yet. Guess it is time to take some more screen-shots so I can get out of here. Have a nice weekend, I know I will…

Last night me and all the high school buddies went to the Poison concert down at Riverbend. Of course we drank a bunch before and during the concert, that is what we always do. So most of us got pretty drunk. :-) The show was sweet from what I can remember. They didn’t play much new stuff, and they just stuck with the old and good stuff. I was kind of worried about that before the show, but they love Cincy (sorry Kate). Oh yeah speaking of Kate, she is still on vacation, and she didn’t call me once yesterday. :-\ Kind of weird, cause we have talked at least once a day since I can remember. I hope everything is ok, and I guess I’ll just hope she calls today. Well that’s about it, we are off to the VACO show tonight in Columbus…

Most of last week I spend working and hanging out with Kate. It was a good week, except for the working all the time part. :)

On Friday, I drove up to Liam’s parents house in Poland. He drove from there over to Pittsburgh for the Howie Day, OAR, and Clarks show. Pat aka peccer rode with us over to the show as well. We got there fairly early and just hung around the place since the line was too long for us to stand in. Eventually the doors were open and we ended up just jumping in the middle of the line and being probably in the first 100 or so people to get in the place. Liam quickly grabbed a spot close to the stage and I went for something to drink because it was too hot. I chose beer of course and headed back to where Liam was. Soon enough Howie came out and played a cool show. He was in one of those moods, like saying the songs were titled different than they were (“Think Pink” and “WDVE Rocks”) It was a fun show, I just wish I could see him headline sometime. :) OAR put on a good show as well. Pretty typical setlist for the time they were given but “Someone In The Road” was played. Always good to hear that one. The Clarks went on last and I really had a hard time getting into them. They are a decent band, but nothing special I guess. The day was hot and we kept drinking to stay cool. Liam ended up getting pretty buzzed, so we opted to just stay in Pittsburgh with Jenn and Heidi. Thanks to them for helping us out!

The next day we drove back to Liam’s parents. Got ready to go back to Pitt and then we left once again. We got there even earlier this day, so we did some touristy type of things, like riding the incline up the side of the city’s hill and looking out over everything. It was pretty cool. We then got some beers and went back to the car for some tailgating. Eventually we made it to the show, Joe was pretty drunk already. Liam went to the front again, and I tried to get a SBD patch for Howie. No luck with that though. Howie’s setlist was better than the day before, but not as funny. OAR’s set was typical again, but they had very few repeats and the played “King Of The Thing” another one that is always fun. Once again I didn’t pay much attention to the Clarks, and concentrated on my drinking. :) After the show we hit up Perkins then went back to Liam’s to crash for the night.

Sunday, we all woke up and remembered we needed to get to Columbus for the Balloon festival. I drove with Liam (along with all of his shit) and Pat. Balloon fest was hot but pretty cool, minus the mullets of course. We got to see Blues Traveler and that was pretty sweet. I realized I didn’t know many songs, but they still played really well. After that was the battle of the bands. Fate Hates Us played, and they played very well. It sounded sweet there, and I have a recording of it so we’ll see how that comes out. I think that they honestly should have one, but the judges were old and like the Jazz/Funk band 30 East better. I knew it was going to happen, but at least John Popper loved the way FHU sounded. He was actually on stage and talked to the guys afterwards. Very cool.

That sums up my weekend. This week is back to work, and Kate is on vacation as well. This could be fairly boring, but I think I have some setup stuff for Pig-Fest that should keep me busy. I am very excited for this party, it should be the best yet!

Go out to your local Best Buy store and buy Howie Day’s “Australia.” It is only $5.99 (at least this week) and is a great disc. I haven’t been able to find it in stores around here, so let me know if you have any success…

Vacation was a blast. It basically consisted of sitting on the beach during the day building sand castles, sunning myself, swimming, drinking, etc. and then the nights were dinner followed by more drinking, but this time heavily. The regulars were me and my two cousins Adam and Gina. I never really hung out with Gina much before, but Adam and I both got to know her really well and vice versa. I had a ton of fun with those two and whoever else came out with us. The favorite places of the weekend were Crocodile Rocks, a very cool piano bar where we ended up making friends with the owner who is one of the performers, and a place we affectionately called the “Shitty Bar”, but we had some great times there. I think we all had a great time, and it went by quicker than we thought.

While we were gone, our pool in the backyard collapsed. We spent a good chunk of yesterday evening tearing down parts of the deck so that we could take all of the liner and walls of the pool out. It’s pretty shitty because we won’t have a pool for Pig-Fest. But on the other hand, we are turning the main part of the pool deck into a stage for the party. I guess that is about the only good thing to come out of this.

Kate and I have just been chilling the past couple nights. We did go to a little party of hers the other night, but nothing too crazy. We still love to kill time and stay up late at night. It makes working kind of hard, but it is worth every minute of it. :) She is leaving soon for vacation, so we’ll be apart again. Oh well, I guess we’ll just have to live up the time we have together…

Yes! It is vacation time. Well very soon it will be. We are leaving at midnight tonight for Myrtle Beach. Lots of people from my mom’s side of the family are going down there. It should be a good time. The weird thing is that I will be away from Kate for a long time. I have been spending tons of time with her lately and having a great time! Everything will be fine, it is just weird. :) I hope everyone has a nice summer. Oh yeah, school is over for me. It felt good to do pretty much nothing the last few days, and I have a whole week full of nothing coming up. Yeah! Well take care everyone, I guess I should pack something…

The last week of class is over! I only have 4 finals and then I am done for the summer, and that would be wrapping up my 4th year. Wow time flies by. Anyway, I’ve been having tons of fun again this week and this weekend thus far. A few drunk nights recently, but Kate puts up with me somehow. :) I went to my first red’s game of the year last night, and of course they sucked. The rain delay for over an hour wasn’t fun either. Oh well after the game was over and I spent all my money on beer, I got to drink for free out of kegs for the rest of the night. Tonight I think I am going with Kate and probably Steph and Liam down to Newport to watch a band. After that I think we will probably just party over at Liam’s house. Kate doesn’t have to work tomorrow morning, yeah!!!! If you are still in school I hope finals go well for you…
