Last week was pretty busy, not terribly exciting, but pretty fun. Basically all I did was work, practice for the show that was on saturday and sleep. I was still sick most of the week, and still have a little bit of that shit hanging with me. The show we had on Saturday went pretty well, and it was a great time. Our first set was probably the best we have sounded, ever. The party wasn’t really what I expected, because there never really was a bunch of people there at one time. They kept coming and going. A girl named Ruth stepped up and played a few songs during the break, and she blew most of us away. She was skilled at both guitar and singing. I was afraid to play our second set, but she seemed really impressed with the fact that we could play so many songs in one sitting.

By the time the second set came around, most of us were pretty drunk. I was not because I had to drive back over to Joe’s at the end of the show. I’m surprised we made it through as many songs as we did, but I’m sure that the first set sounded much better. All in all the show was very fun as was the party. That is seriously about it for now. This week should hopefully be a little more relaxing…

Well since the last entry, I have started the new year off with some solid shows. Liam, Haz, Sarnovsky and I went to the Red Wanting Blue “accoustic” show. It was not really what I expected, the only differences from their normal shows were:
Epp played an accoustic guitar instead of electric
The whole band was sitting down and so was the crowd
But the show was really cool, and I was glad to finally make it to one of these shows.

Then we went to Chicago for the OAR show on friday. Chicago is a great town, and I always have a blast there, but this time I think I caught a slight cold. I ended up getting kicked out of the show halfway through OAR’s set for a shwag reason. For some reason the staff didn’t like our group very much and had an eye or two on us the entire time. I think in the end 4 of us got booted and only one really deserved it, cause he was puking everywhere. :) All in all the trip was fun, I just wish I could have seen the encore.

Then after the drive home, Liam and I hit up the Stadium in Oxford for another Red Wanting Blue show. The place was packed more so than I have ever seen it before. The show was great, with a rockin’ version of “Pretty.” After that we just went back to Clifton and partied for a little bit.

I really didn’t do much last night, just hung out with Liam and his roommates and threw a few back. Those damn punks didn’t have school today.

I am really excited for the duckfood show that is coming this weekend. We need to have lots of practice before then, but I am anticipating a good show, as long as I get rid of this cold. Hopefully someone can stop by and get a recording of this show as well. I’ll have to work on that one…

Fighty encouraged me to do some writing today, and I’m listening to him for some reason. Anyway, we are now going to Chicago tomorrow, and I’m very excited about it. O.A.R. has been getting great radio play in Chicago and they were even on WGN this morning. This city is definitely loving them, so the show should be sweet. Tonight I may hit up the Red Wanting Blue accoustic show in Columbus since I have nothing to do tomorrow but drive for a few hours. Then on Saturday I may hit up another Red Wanting Blue show at Miami. Sad news a few days ago, Ordinary Peoples broke up, but some of them are already working on side projects. duckfood (me, fighty and pete) have some upcoming shows that should be a ton of fun. Some girl named Anne IM’ed me the other day, I guess I met her one day when she visited with Andy, Fighty, and all those Fenwick kids. It was pretty random, but Andy told me that she thinks I’m funny, and she wants to go to some shows with us. So we’ll see where that goes. There is also rumors of some other girl having interest in me, but she will remain anonymous for now. She is a very cute girl though. :) Anyways enough about all these girls, I want to be single now, cause it isn’t all that bad. I figure I need to see what that type of life is like for a little while.

Oh yeah, I sang Poker with that Fate Hates Us band once again. It was really fun, so maybe duckfood could open for them sometime. I’ll have to talk to them about that one. We have been practicing a whole bunch, and I know have some bongos. Fun times for sure. We’ll see how these shows go. Other than that not much else is going on. I hope to visit my bro up at Dayton sometime soon and just go where the good shows are. Looks like some possible road trips in April for Dave Matthews. Yeah!!!

I did it, I made another entry before a week since the last. Well since Thursday when I wrote that I finished up my first week back at work. From there I took a trip up to Miami, OH to party with my high school buddies up there. We had a great time and caused some problems all around that town. I don’t know what got into me, but I was actually able to go up to some girls and start a conversation with them. I couldn’t go alone though, so I took Billy for my wingman. What fun! Then for Saturday I went down to campus to party with Liam, Fighty and all them. We went to go see this band Fate Hates Us who were playing at a house party. Fighty, Liam, and some others were yelling for them to play poker. They said that they would, but didn’t know the lyrics so couldn’t sing it. So, the board crew tracked me down, and I ended up singing with these guys. It was a blast, and the packed basement love it. Everyone came up to afterwards and were telling me that it sounded good and was very fun, some people said that I should be in a band, and others said that I sounded better singing it than Marc does. Crazy people. :) So I’m just sitting around on Sunday probably gonna just hang out with someone tonight and start the work week tomorrow.

I am considering making a trip to the HOB in Chicago for the OAR show, Friday the 18th. We’ll have to see about that…

Dammit, once again. Anyways, the holidays were busy. All my friends were back in town and I was constantly doing something, even though I didn’t have the money for it. Here are some highlights…

Lutz’s annual Christmas party: I skipped a huge VACO show to go to this, but I had to. ALL my friends from highschool showed up and we partied like we used to. My ex-girlfriend Stephanie also made an appearance there, and it was good to see her again. By the end, I was glad to be there at the party. There will be more shows to see this year, but only one party like that. It is rough growing up, cause your friends seem to change, but I think in the end my high school friends will be the best friends that I ever will have. We are still a really close group of about 10 guys. The only people that can compete are the incredible people I have met through the OAR message board. :)

Christmas: I did the same thing I do every year, Paff side for Christmas Eve and Busch side for Christmas. It is always great to see family members that you don’t see very often. I found that my step-cousin (I guess that’s what she is) had another baby, so that makes 2 and I still don’t have one. I got tons of blank cd’s which I desperately needed, and tons of clothes as well. My mom and I may go shopping for a digital camera as like a joint Christmas/Birthday present. That would be super cool!

New Years: “That’s the day we drink with hats on.” – Lewis Black. What a truly great party day it is. In good tradition, I got hammered and had a ball. Nouch really to say about it. Duckfood was considering playing for the party, but I’m glad we didn’t…

That sums up all the BIG things that happened recently. I just started another co-op quarter, and I am now doing more with code than I was before. It is going good so far. I talked to Amanda today, and we had a really great conversation. I hope that this leads to some kind of friendship for the both of us. We both knew more than anyone else about each other, and maybe we still do. It is just pointless to waste all that. That’s about it for now. Happy new year to you all, I hope it is a great one…
