So I’m heading home tonight, and I’m off work for almost a week. Should be relaxing and tons of fun. I already am planning to go to The Shantee show on Sat. night, so come on out to that if you can. Other than that, I’m open to suggestions and ideas.

We decided to leave Amstel here at home. Doni and Phil are gonna watch him for us, as well as the other pets. :) This makes it a ton easier! Hopefully he doesn’t shit all over the kitchen this time though…

Now 2003 is up. Click here to see it, or don’t if you want to be surprised when I hand you a copy. :b

Well it’s time to start this crazy day. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you!!!

Work has been really crazy and busy. I’ve been putting in 40+ hours for the past weeks. I’ve been trying to waste my roll of film from NYC, but I still haven’t done it. I would also like to take some good pics of the plaza lights, but here is one that I have found…

Oh yeah. I also have a rough outline of Ed Hearn’s site. edhearn.edpaffjr.com Let me know what you think…

My internet died for a couple days. It was a very lonely time for me, but I’m back now. :)

Kim and I took a last minute trip back to Ohio this past weekend. We did it to go Christmas tree hunting with her family. We didn’t get one, since we would have to drive back with it, but it is the thought that counts. While back, we went out to Mt. Adams and even hit up the Mad Frog once again for a Red Wanting Blue show. It seems that every time I go back, there is one of these shows to go to. Over Christmas though, it will be a Shantee show that everyone better get their asses to…

Work is still busy though, and it will continue to be that way until Christmas is over.

I still haven’t heard back from OSI about the job, so maybe I should email someone about that. Well I just took care of that real quickly. :)

I did it! I have a job starting next year! If you are interested here is the company’s website. I’m starting on Jan. 5th and doing QA Testing work for their software.

NYC was amazing, just as all of the gatherings with O.A.R. board people are. We all had so much fun, and I don’t think any of us really wanted to leave. I didn’t get to see much of the city, but I can always do that again sometime…

I heard from the President of Optimal Solutions the other day, and I am one of the final 2 candidates. I am waiting for him to call me right now actually. Hopefully today goes well even though I am coming down with a cold.

Everything else is about the same. I think we are going back to Ohio this weekend. Kim’s family has a big family outing to get a Christmas tree, so she needs to be there…

Oh yeah, it is snowing outside here. I guess it is about time though…

It’s almost time for NYC! I’m so excited for this big weekend!!!

Kim and I got a rabbit today. That digital camera I keep talking about would really come in handy right now. It is adorable. We named it Amstel, because the type of rabbit is Netherland Dwarf and Amstel comes from Holland. It just made sense. :) It is so small though, and quite fun, although Kim just said it bit her. It did poop on me earlier too, but they are supposed to be easily potty trained. I also got some new fish today, 6 bleeding heart tetras! They look really cool against my blackskirt tetras. Enough about pets though…

I’ve now worked 2 full 40+ hour weeks. I don’t think I’ll have as much to do with 3 days this week, but it will all help in the end. Now if only I had my check for those 2 weeks of work. Oh well, I’ll have to borrow for NYC…

Still no word from Optimal Solutions, but I am gonna do some work for Ed Hearn and his website. You can check out his current site here.
Feel free to pass along any ideas…

Work has been really busy. I worked 40+ hours last week, and I think I’ll be doing the same this week. I’ve even been traveling for work, but just to columbia and jefferson city, so it isn’t that big of a deal.

We are joining the Y today. I have to go there to work out since I hurt my IT band in my leg. If I run I will be in pain after a mile or two, so instead I can do the elliptical machines. I don’t like it as much, but I have to get ready for the 10K!

Optimal Solutions has put me in the final round of applicants, and has even called Don Hemmelgarn as a reference. Wish me luck!!!

I’m going to NYC in just over a week. I’m so excited for this! It sounds like there will be an official recording of these shows in one way or another. Should be quite an experience.

More to come later, when I have more time…

I got my wallet back. The Y found it by the leg press machine, the one place I forgot to check. Oh well, I feel so much better now.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIM!

2003-11-05

I slacked off again, but only for a week this time. I just got off of work and thought I would write a bit while I remembered to do so.

Well I have now worked 2 real days (actually nights) for Hickory Farms. We go into the malls at 9 PM and setup the kiosks so they can open the next day. It is some tiring work, and I think there are a bunch more to be done still. I believe I am doing one this Thursday, followed by some more after that. I got cleared to drive a Ryder truck though! :)

Kim and I ran the 5K at the Humana Marathon and did just about what we trained to do, 9 minute miles. The results are on this site here (search for paff and hais to see how we did).
We started training for a 10K that I think we will run in 5 weeks. This is addicting, kinda.

In shitty news, I lost my wallet at the YMCA today. That is where we went to run, and we are considering joining. It really sucks now though, because I have no ID at all, so it will be hard to do much of anything. I got all my cards canceled, and they will actually be mailing me new ones. It is just such a big hassle. Hopefully it will turn up tomorrow, and the Y will call me. Keep that in your prayers. :)

Kim’s birthday is Thurs. and I have to work, but I hope we can plan something cool to do for it. Money would be a really nice thing for me to have right now. Dammit!

Well I’m pretty tired, so it’s bed time. More to come later…
