I forgot to say that we are watching Doni & Phil’s 2 cats while they are in Hawaii. They have been training them to use the toilet, just as in Meet The Parents. One of them supposedly does it all there, but the other cat refuses to poop in the tank, so we have to go pick up after it. Barf! :) It sounds like they are having a blast there though, so that’s good…

Kim is leaving me this weekend. She’s working in Cincy next week, so she’s gonna meet up with her family a little early in North Carolina. I’m trying to decide what to do this Saturday night, so if you have any ideas let me know. Next week I’ll take full advantage of my extra time by trying to finish up Ed Hearn’s site and work on oarsa.org v2.0, which we have recently started to work on very hard. I hope to get it out in the next couple of months!

Hopefully you noticed a few more pictures that I added to the site. I hope to get more and more up there for you all!!

Kim and I found a dueling piano bar on Friday night called Frankie’s On The Plaza. It is actually one of the closest places to our apartment on the plaza, we just never went there cause it looked a little too nice to be much fun. We walked by it heading to another bar, and after we finished up at that bar, we walked by again and saw some people playing pianos, so we walked in. It was not nearly as much fun as Crocodile Rocks in Myrtle Beach, but we had a good time. They played the same kind of music, but just weren’t as funny. That probably has something to do with the clientele however. It was still a good time.

Saturday we did see Miracle. I must say that the movie was excellent. The theatre was packed, and for a good reason. I was surprised to see as many kids as I did, but I’m sure they enjoyed the hockey parts of the movie as well. Go see this for yourself!!!

I did take a few random pictures this weekend, that I’ll hopefully put up tonight, so check back soon. :)

I was just about to leave work and then I realized I didn’t put anything in here yet today…

I’m really kicking myself in the ass for not carrying my camera around with me all the time. There were a few times I wish I would have had it yesterday, and I would have even liked to shoot a few snow pics while here at work today. I haven’t been bringing it to work, because I figure that nothing exciting will happen. So I either thought wrong or I’m just too easily excited. :b

My airbag light came on in my car while driving to work. The first “problem” I’ve had with it so far. The guy at the service department told me that the snow is probably the culprit. I’m supposed to make sure that the under the front bumper is clear of snow. It wouldn’t surprise me snow is messing with something, we do have close to a foot on the ground!!

This weekend I’m going to try to see the movie Miracle. From what I’ve been reading it is supposed to be great, so get out and see one of the best sports moments in history!

I won my first rock auction on eBay!

The drive home was slow and even included pushing a few stuck cars. Fun!

I put the sand into my tank tonight and already had to “fix” the filter once. I’m going to have to find a way to prevent the sand from getting in the filter. Now I just need to find some holey rock to buy. I’m trying ebay, but it costs so much to ship these heavy rocks. I’ll take some pictures soon…

Woohoo! We are leaving work early because it keeps snowing and snowing. I think we have well over 6 inches already today…
Perhaps some snowboarding is in my future?!?!?!

2004-02-05

It’s like a blizzard here today. The weathermen must have just been off by a few days. :b I think we are supposed to get up to 6 inches of snow today, which should make the drive home fun…

My boss is out sick today, so I’m not really busy at all. The two guys that I need to talk to about a bug aren’t in yet either. I wonder if they are taking the day off as well.

Last night Kim and I cleaned out my fish tank in preparation to set it up again…

The video of the Super Bowl streaker can be seen on the Golden Palace website. Thanks Jay!

Well the game didn’t turn out like I hoped it would. It was an entertaining game to watch, but it should not have been that way. Oh well. I’m gonna try and go to the Louisville game, hopefully I can get someone to get me some tickets. :)

So the Crosstown Shootout is tonight! It kind of snuck up on me, but I’m definitely excited for it. We should be able to defeat XU pretty easily this year, if we play the game we are capable of. If we don’t , then it could be a pretty interesting game. I think Kim and I are just going to watch it at home, and try to get some other stuff done at the same time.

I know that I still want to clean out my empty fish tank and get ready to fill it again. I’ve decided that I’m going to go after some shell dwelling cichlids from Lake Tanganyika. Here is a pic of one of these fish with a few babies as well…

Now I just have to start laying down the sand that I’m going to use on the bottom. I’m also trying to buy some rocks like the Texas Holey Rock. I think I’ll end up buying it on eBay, since it is very hard to find. This stuff looks great though and is very functional…

“What’s meteorologist mean in English? It means liar.” – Lewis Black
First things first, the weathermen in KC were at least half a foot off. We have about an inch of snow/ice on the ground when they were calling for 8 to 12 inches.

Now onto the Super Bowl. Good game, and it looked great on the 100″ HDTV we watched it on! The half time show sucked. All the songs were at least a few years old, some of them being from my early childhood. The most interesting part of course was when Justin Timberlake exposed Janet Jackson’s boob. “I am sorry that anyone was offended by the wardrobe malfunction during the halftime performance of the Super Bowl,” Timberlake said in a statement. “It was not intentional and is regrettable.” Timberlake said he did not intend to expose Jackson’s breast. This is a ridiculous statement. We watched the stunt over and over again and it was 100% purposeful. MTV issued a statement in which it also apologized, saying the incident was “unrehearsed, unplanned, completely unintentional and was inconsistent with assurances we had about the content of the performance.” Unbelievable. I won’t post them here, but I’ve seen some very clear pictures floating around the internet…

The one event that they should have showed on TV instead of all this other crap was the streaker that was on the field just before the second half kickoff. We noticed someone dancing near the ball, and then CBS cut away to shots not involving the events. Apparentlyly he was leveled by New England linebacker Matt Chatham as he was being chased by the authorities. I would pay money to see the whole event right now. I hope that some amateur video is out there somewhere. I am told that the man, Mark Francis Roberts, is the most famous streaker in the world and he was advertising for Golden Palace Online Casino.
