We could be facing the most snow KC has seen in years this weekend.

According to weather.com:
… WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING TO MONDAY AFTERNOON…
PRELIMINARY DATA INDICATES THAT AS MUCH AS 10 INCHES OF SNOW MAY FALL BEFORE THIS SYSTEM MOVES EAST MONDAY AFTERNOON. CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL ALSO ACCOMPANY THE STORM SUNDAY INTO MONDAY… MAKING FOR EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TRAVEL ACROSS MUCH OF THE REGION….

Should be interesting…

Tonight we are going to see Tanner Walle at a small club in a “bad part of town.” I hope we survive. :b
For tomorrow I want to work on my fish tank, which would require going to all kinds of pet stores in the area. I think that could easily kill an entire day.
Sunday, if the weather isn’t bad, we are gonna watch the Super Bowl at a guy I work with’s house. He has a 100 inch tv!!

I’ll let you know how the blizzard is, and hopefully I’ll take some new pictures!

I now have the photo gallery working here on the site, so be ready to see all the pictures that I’m taking. I just need to find something worth shooting now. :) As of now, there are only a few pictues of my new car, feel free to check those out though!

ALL of my fish died from some disease that I couldn’t cure. I guess I learned a lesson once again, don’t buy fish at PetSmart, only supplies. The only good thing about it, I can now start over and get fish that I couldn’t have possibly kept before. I’ve already been brainstorming, and I’m sure I’ll keep you updated with what I come up, along with pictures of my progress too! I wonder if I can still afford to do this with the budget that Kim started though. :b

If you are reading this, I hope that you notice the change that happened here. I came up with a better name for my web design stuff, other than the very boring ED webpages. I think trustED design has a much better ring to it, and I hope you agree!

I have information on my next trip back to Ohio. It will be on February 20th-22nd. I’ll land at 8:00 PM on the 20th in Cincinnati and will be there until I fly out at 8:44 PM on the 22nd. Hopefully I can see everyone on that weekend. Keep me updated with anything that is going on that weekend…

I had my third hockey game of the season last night. I came away with a hat trick, and we almost won. Maybe we are showing some signs of improvement. :)

I got my car and so far I love it! It probably hates me though for getting it all dirty and making it work so hard for so long yesterday. :b I’ll have to try and get my pictures that I took of it up on the site soon. Just a few more kinks to work out and I should be able to display all of the pictures that I’m taking with my new digital camera!

This past weekend was fun. Friday ended up being a long night of driving back to Cincinnati. We eventually got in at 4 AM Cincy time. Saturday, we picked up the car in the morning, and visited with both my family and Kim’s family. I wish I had more time for visiting on this trip, but soon enough I had to head up to Dayton. I stopped up at my brother’s place for the first time this year. Hopefully I make it back there soon for a weekend, so I can party with them. After a visit there I made it over to Sarnovsky’s place. We worked on the compilation and had a great time.

The drive home yesterday was awful. Kim started off driving because I was still exhausted from the previous night. We slid down a road near the highway trying to pull into a gas station. After a little bit of time on the highway, Kim decided she didn’t want to drive anymore. We talked about just turning around and going back, but I drove a little further and the roads kept getting better and better. We ended up driving until just after midnight last night and stopped in Columbia, MO for the night. We slept a few hours and then got on our way so that we could make it into work today. I finally was at work at 10 AM. We were on the road for almost 14 hours, which is 5 hours longer than the trip usually takes. We saw at least 37 cars that had slid off the highway and into ditches, trees, other cars, etc. There were even 3 semis that had done the same thing. We are back in Kansas City though, and my new car made it safely!

Damn, I just had another great entry typed up and somehow it got deleted. I like updating this thing daily and I’m gonna try to continue to do so…

Last night Kim and I met up with my buddy Steve Christy at a Steve Poltz show. It was a great time while we were there, but unfortunately work prevented us from staying out all night. I suggest you check this guy out if you have some free time today, good solo music and quite a funny guy too.

Everything should be set for me to pickup my new car tomorrow morning. I’m driving home to Cincinnati immediately after work today, and I think I’m gonna try a different route. Before I have always taken 70 all the way to Indianapolis and then hopped on 74 there. I think today that I will start on 70 and take that to St. Louis. From there I’m gonna take 64 over to Louisville, and then 71 from there to Cincy! Hopefully this is a more scenic route.

I would tell you to call me if you are around town this weekend, but I’m gonna be so busy with what I already have planned. Don’t worry though I should be back on the weekend of February 20-22.

On Saturday night a group of us are going to Mike Sarnovsky’s place in Dayton. We are going to work on O.A.R.’s Best Of 2003 Compilation. I’m sure that the number of beers will out number the song choices that we make, but it’s the fun that matters!

I’m not really into politics and haven’t been following the debates, but this is pretty funny: Yeagh!

The game below apparently doesn’t work anymore, sorry about that. In the short time it was working, my brother found a way to beat me. :)

I picked up my camera last night after work, and have started to play with it. It is amazing so far, I’ll be taking it home with me this weekend…

I forgot to write about the weekend in my previous post. Kim and I went to an KC Comets Indoor Soccer game which had a concert afterwards by a beatles tribute band, Liverpool. They were pretty good actually, complete with accents and all.

Kim, Doni and I went to an RV show, which further convinced me that I want to own a mobile home one day, and just travel all around. Pretty cool stuff, and also pretty expensive stuff. We then met up with Phil and Todd over at Doni’s parents house to watch football on their big screen! It was cool, and the Turkey Reuben’s were awesome!

I’m buying a new car! The deal is done, and I should be picking up the exact car I wanted on Saturday in Cincy. Thanks to my dad for helping me with the whole process, I’m not sure I could have done it alone, but now I know what I’m doing in the future. That means that Kim and I will be back in town this weekend, but only for a very short time. We have to leave KC Friday after work and then return at a decent time on Sunday. Oh well, better than nothing…

I also bought a new digital camera. If you couldn’t tell, the money must be burning a hole in my pocket. That and Kim told me that I have to buy whatever I want before her budget for us starts next month. :) For those of you that care, the camera is a Canon PowerShot S400, aka the latest Digital Elph. More info can be found here at the canon website. It’s a little pricey, but well worth it!

So, I should be buying a new car very soon. I looked at a few of the Japanese cars, and decided on another Mazda. What I’m going to try and get is the Mazda 3 I with a black exterior and black interior.
