Friday night we headed over to O’Dowd’s on the plaza for happy hour. Amanda was already there with a few of her co-workers and we decided to crash their party and drink a few beers on their company tab. From there we had a group of people over to our place to play some late night cornhole. I pretty much stunk and could hardly hit the board. It must have been all of the half & half’s I was drinking. I think everyone left and I was in bed before midnight. It was a week of recovery for me from the camping trip.

Saturday we ran some errands and then headed out to Overland Park for Stephanie Reynold’s wedding. If you don’t remember from before, the Reynolds are old family friends of ours from our Huntsville, AL days. My parents couldn’t make it out for the wedding, so we were the only representatives of the Paff family. The wedding started early at 2 PM and we stayed at the reception until close to 10 PM. It was a long day but really nice and fun. We thought about heading down to the Brooksider to meet up with some folks, but decided to just head home and crash.

Sunday we started the day with Chipotle and then Mike and I hit up the Jones store sale while Kim and Christie went out to some flea markets and such. Kim was searching for some home decor items as was Christie. Mike wanted to pick up some $9 polo shirts and I needed to get another dress shirt for this coming weekend. I also found the black backgrounds for my poster frames that I’ve been searching for. The cheap frame I got from Walgreen’s is not going to work, so I’ll have to find some others elsewhere. I am definitely making progress in my effort to decorate the office. From there we all headed over to Susan’s new house for some Church’s Chicken and HBO viewing. After that it was bed time. The weekend flew by but it was nice to spend it in Kansas City for once.
