So I was a little bored the past day or two and thus decided to redo a bunch of the show database code. I created a version of the code for my buddy weeba to use, but I don’t think he ever got it working. While doing that I found some spots to make improvements, and so I have added those changes along with other stuff to my own copy of the code. Most of it will go unnoticed since it is backend type code, but one cool feature is that my ticket stub scans are back. Click here to see what I mean. The problem now is that very few of my ticket stubs have actually been scanned. I stopped scanning when I moved out of my parents’ house and no longer had a scanner to use. So if you know of a deal on a scanner, or just have one lying around let me know and then hopefully I can keep that up-to-date.
I finally finished my oarsa.org interview with O.A.R. It’s a pretty good read, although I guess I’m a little biased. If you want to check it out, just follow this link…
Yeah I got a scanner in the basement for you… assuming you’ve got an extra scsi interface on your pc.
Well I belive the printer is taking it up right now, but I think it can be hooked up via usb. I’ll try and get that working and we can go from there. Thanks man!
our scanner is hooked up through the scsi (parallel) infterface and the printer is hooked up to the scanner. check the scanner to see if it has a printer port on it…
by the way, rush rules :)
As we discovered last night, this scanner is ancient. I was thinking parallel as well, but it looks like one of the ones to the right in this picture. So I’m still in the market for a scanner, and I’ll probably just look for one in the $20 – $30 range.
Rush does rule though, I’ll have to try and go to another show sometime soon, it has been a long time since I’ve seen them…
if the one on the right you are referring to is the centronix, that is exactly what our epson printer has and it is parallel. the other end connected to the computer looks like a 25 pin rs232 connector…
Man my hardware knowledge is terrible. We are working on getting something working though…
