The new iPhone 3GS has been announced and will be released on June 19. Just eight days from now, this slick new device could be in my hands (or on it’s way). I am giving Verizon a few more days to announce something worth sticking around for, and if they don’t I’m really thinking of switching to AT&T so I can get the iPhone. I’ve played with the older ones a few times and really like the way they work and all of the applications available for it. The only things holding me back are the fact that nearly everyone I talk on the phone with has Verizon, and that I really don’t want to use iTunes. Minor drawbacks that I could adjust to in order to have one of the best, possibly the best mobile device out there right now.

GET IT!!! … I will be pre-ordering mine today or tomorrow, that is if their pre-order server isn’t down again … I have been pondering the same question from day one of the arrival of the 1st gen. iphone … 2 years later, I am finally going to do it and couldn’t be more excited about it! … I am hoping it will make my life easier and more organized, and I think that is exactly what it will do, especially to keep everything in sync with each other.
Good luck with your decision!
The server was down? That stinks! I figured demand is only going to increase, so I better make up my mind soon. It would be the first apple device I’ve ever owned.
then I would be the first to welcome you over to the dark side … it is amazing how flawlessly macs and mac devices work with each other … and yeah, they figured it was from so many people being on the server, but I just called and it is back up, so I am going to try and run there today to get the order done and then just have to wait one more week!
Dude, I’ve got the older 8 gig iPhone version and let me tell ya, its changed my life …. I can listen to Royals games now, gain easy access to Podcasts, I’ve even heard through the grapevine that I’ll be able to listen to streaming broadcasts of Sirius Radio and Howard Stern … Not to mention I can view movies as well … All while simultaneously conversing with my favorite “900 number” representative …. GodSpeed … Rod …
Good to hear, Todd. I think I’m nearly 100% sold, but unfortunately now the presale is sold out, so I guess I’ll be on a waiting list when I do finally order.
