edpaffjr.comWell I did it. I ordered a new iPhone 3G S last night. Verizon eventually did announce the BlackBerry Tour a couple of days ago, but that wasn’t enough for me. Plus I was tired of waiting and didn’t want to wait even longer for the Tour to be released in the middle of July. At this point I couldn’t be happier. Well I guess I could be if I already had my iPhone in my hands, but that probably won’t happen for a week or two.
I ordered it online through AT&T so that I could take advantage of my company’s 20% service discount. I wasn’t able to get any money off of the phone itself, but I’ll definitely appreciate the $14 savings each month on my bill. Now I just need to decide what case I want to get and place that order so I’ll have it in time for delivery of my phone. Any suggestions for that? I’ve already heard good reviews for a number of products, but it can’t hurt to have even more.
Im happy to know that this new model, the 3GS, has now rendered my iPhone, the 8 GIG 3G, totally obsolete …. The phone that I purchased a mere 6 weeks ago … This blows …
Actually Todd, I don’t think there is that big of a difference between the two. The only differences I see are a better camera, a digital compass, voice control, and perhaps a slight speed boost. And I thought I remembered reading about a credit for those who just bought the 3G since they dropped the price $100. You may want to be on the lookout for that.

I have this thing for my ipod that i assume apple makes for most of their products. its a screen protector. it keeps it from scratches and what not! i think a case may still be a good idea, but something else to think about!
I’m definitely going to get a screen protector of some sort. Still undecided but it’s getting delivered tomorrow!!
