Kim and I attended the Rockies game on Saturday night. If you didn’t know, they were still in the hunt for a playoff spot. All they needed to do was win on Saturday and Sunday and hope that San Diego lost on both Saturday and Sunday. Shortly before the first pitch on Saturday, we heard that San Diego just lost, so things were going well so far. The Rockies took a commanding lead from the start of the game, and never looked back. The final score was 11-1. On Sunday, the Rockies won yet again, and San Diego lost again. With those results, the two teams are tied for the last spot, and will play tonight in Denver to decide who will be in. I’d think about heading down to the game if the Bengals weren’t playing tonight. Hopefully the Rockies win and we’ll be able to catch a little playoff baseball.

We were in the car yesterday listening to the baseball wrap-ups and heard them talking about the Rockies going to the playoffs. We thought it was some kind of flash-back show from a few years ago or something. Seems like not long ago they were so bad we were watching them get beat by the friggin’ Royals. Guess they got better since that game; The Royals sure didn’t.
hopefully the BENGALS make us PROUD tonight!!! who-dey!!!
The Rockies definitely turned it on in the second half of the season. I hope that game will be on TV too, so I can stay updated on it while watching the Bengals.
I hope the Bengals win, but I hope the score is 3-0. Can’t have Palmer scoring any points.
It was painful to watch that Bengals game. I’m glad they have a week off before we all head to KC. In better news, the Rockies won an exciting extra innings game last night to take the final spot in the postseason.
Ed,
We’ll throw our support behind the Rockies if you throw yours behind the Red Sox? deal?
oh and I forgot, on the battery box for the mics for taping, the higher the number, the more or less bass that comes through? I taped at the Blue Note Monday and it was VERY bassy and I couldn’t remember which way to change it (so it was recorded at 95).
Deal. My buddy Aaron would be happy to see me rooting for the Sox, so I might as well make everyone happy.
As far as the battery box is concerned, the higher the number the less bass that comes through. Think of it light the cutoff frequency, and anything below that will not be on the tape. You can try cleaning the recording up with some filters to remove additional lower frequencies. Hit me up in email if you need more info on that.
