I commented on the weather a week ago, and since then it has been wonderful outside. Most of our Sunday was spent outside in and around Washington Park. I think all of Denver was there with us, but the park is so big that there is plenty of room for everyone. Looking forward, the weather looks like it will continue to be just as nice, with most of our high temperatures in the 60s. In addition, it doesn’t look like the temperatures will dip below freezing again anytime in the near future.

Purple Flowers

I noticed some flowers popping up in the front yard. I just went outside to snap a couple of pictures of them, but found the yellow one had wilted already. Fortunately the purple ones are still looking great! I noticed some other purple ones growing in the grass, but I think they are weeds. I also snapped a couple pictures of some of the house plants, which are mostly bouncing back from the move. Spring is in the air!

We missed breaking the day’s record yesterday by one degree.. the high yesterday was 79 degrees, the record of 80 was set in 1967. I’m lovin it!!! but… temperatures are expected to drop with highs in the 40’s by Saturday and a chance of snow showers.. YUK!

We tied the record of 74 on Tuesday. Unfortunately it is a little cooler today, high of 52.

    Hi Ed,
The flowers in this picture are crocus. They come in many different colors, yellow and purple are the most common. They are a bulb. The ones that are in your yard I could not figure out what they are. What’s the update on the foot? I heard you went to the Doctor yesterday. Have a great sunny day. We are cold and cloudy in KC.

Thanks Ronda, I knew you would be able to help with the flowers. The crocus are folding up this morning, because of the colder temperatures I guess. I’m sure they’ll be back soon. I will try and get a better picture from the yard on the next pretty day.

I did go to the doctor and had my foot x-rayed. There are no broken bones. The doctor said that a sprain can sometimes take longer to heal than a break. I guess I just have to be patient with it.

Glad to hear that it was not broken. will you be able to snowboard or did he want you to stay off of it for a while?

About the flowers, they don’t last long it depends on when they bloomed, you could be on the tail end. They will even come up in the snow. They are a very late winter or earlier spring blooming flower. I will look at you other picture again and see if I can figure out what it is or we’ll just wait until you are able to get out and get a better picture. Also what did you and Kim decide about the windows?

The doctor said to take it easy, but I’ve already been snowboarding on it. We went to Vail over the weekend. I’m not sure if we’ll make it out this weekend, but if we do I will be taping my ankle and taking it easy on the slopes.

With the windows, we decided that they all cost too much. We talked to a guy at best buy who is coming out next week to give a quote. Maybe they will be lower…
