Sore Beginners

Last night we headed up to the brooksider to meet up with Doni and Phil for their last night in town for awhile. Today they left for Mexico, and we get to watch their cat. They used to have 2 cats, but gave one to Christina (co-worker of Kim/Doni), so it should be a little easier now. Not that it was ever hard to do before. :) We almost got involved in a game of texas hold’em, but we quit when they made us all sit at different tables. We called ourselves “sore beginners.”

Progress is being made on DMB’s next studio CD. If you have not already been to dmbnewstudioalbum.com, go there now and watch the videos!

I’ve been experimenting with new counters/trackers for the site. You may have noticed some goofy messages at the bottom of the screen (they are gone now), that is what those were for. You may see some new messages too, I’m not sure I’m completely happy with what I have installed so far…

ISO Scanner

So I was a little bored the past day or two and thus decided to redo a bunch of the show database code. I created a version of the code for my buddy weeba to use, but I don’t think he ever got it working. While doing that I found some spots to make improvements, and so I have added those changes along with other stuff to my own copy of the code. Most of it will go unnoticed since it is backend type code, but one cool feature is that my ticket stub scans are back. Click here to see what I mean. The problem now is that very few of my ticket stubs have actually been scanned. I stopped scanning when I moved out of my parents’ house and no longer had a scanner to use. So if you know of a deal on a scanner, or just have one lying around let me know and then hopefully I can keep that up-to-date.

I finally finished my oarsa.org interview with O.A.R. It’s a pretty good read, although I guess I’m a little biased. If you want to check it out, just follow this link

Sidebar Added

Yeah I’m bored I guess. I added a “sidebar” to the blog for easier access to past posts. It shouldn’t affect any functionality, but if you encounter any problems please let me know.

Kim is taking her insurance exam today, I’m sure she’ll do fine. From there she is going shopping I guess. Hopefully she buys me some new sun glasses since she stole my cheap pair. We both got our federal tax returns back, so we do have some extra money to burn. Perhaps we should buy those bar stools we’ve been eyeing.

I did not get my state tax return back because Kim mailed it before I signed it. Or I just forgot to sign it. You can take your pick of excuses. They sent me some signature form, so hopefully I’ll get it before too long. I also need to file my city tax form and pay them the required money. Hopefully this downtown arena is done before I leave KC, so I can enjoy what I’m paying for.

Not too much is planned for this weekend, yet. I just hope I can stay healthy enough to enjoy this one for a change…

Finally Back Up

Sorry about the downtime this weekend, but I think that I have finally fixed this latest issue. Turns out Microsoft may not be to blame after all. For some reason my router thought that my computer had a virus on it and I think it was limiting it’s connection to the internet. I just had to reset the router and everything was back to normal. Now I just need to figure out how to stop it from doing this again…

This weekend was a good one but went by a little too fast. Friday night I did go to the Shaking Tree show with Steve, his friend Marcus and his girlfriend. They played quite a bit of new material and will have a CD coming out in the next couple months…

Saturday night I went out with Mike to the Granfalloon. We watched some basketball and ended up being there for a long time. Good times again though…

Sunday I took care of some errands and also had a hockey game. The pretty typical Sunday. I couldn’t fall asleep last night so that should make for an interesting Monday…

I put up some pictures of the new apartment, go check them out…

I Am $307.47 Richer!

Well my iPod just sold on eBay for $307.47 plus shipping and insurance, what a deal! I may well be on my way to a freeipodshuffle as well thanks to Kim and Amy, just waiting on them both to confirm! This is too much fun. I signed up today for a free laptop that requires 18 referrals. Not sure if I’ll ever get that many, but I’ve joined a conga group where links are randomly used by new user to the site. I need to confirm my own offer first I guess, more on this later…

I put some pictures up earlier today from the old apartment. We have everything but one large mirror moved into the new place, so I’ll have to get some more pictures soon. Kim will be gone all weekend, so that gives me plenty of time to do so…

Time for bed…

Auction Ends Today

First off, my iPod auction is ending later today and it is currently at $215. This should go up quite a bit in the last few hours. There have been 27 bids so far, and 23 people are watching the auction. Hopefully I can get near the $300 level! Here is the link to the auction…

After the gym last night we ran into our new neighbor Nick. I believe he lives by himself in apartment 2. He wanted to see our apartment, so we gave him a little tour and then checked out his place. He painted many of the walls a dark blue, just like my bedroom at my parents, very cool. His porch is awesome, really made it look good. Maybe well have to get him over to work on ours when it gets warmer out. Anyway, the bedroom ceiling was painted so we moved in all of the bedroom stuff. We also moved the turtle tank and brought Amstel into the new apartment. He still doesn’t really fit in very well. We tried the office, but it was too cramped to have his large cage in there. Currently he is next to the dining room table. The only thing left to move is the fish tank. I’ll have to do that either tonight or tomorrow night since the electric in the old apartment is being turned off on Friday. We are just about finished, and I’m ready for it all to be done…

Tsunami Not Tsumani

It is amazing how many people cannot spell Tsunami, myself included. I added a subdirectory for my pictures called Tsumani Relief and because of this I have been getting more traffic than normal to my site. I guess Tsumani does not turn up as many results as Tsunami so my site is listed much closer to the top than it normally would be. Regardless, welcome to anyone new! :)

It’s Here…

My very own iPod is here! Not for too long though, I’m not even going to open it, so that I can get more money for it on eBay. Nothing like $300 for free. :)
If you want to do something like this sign up for my freeipodshuffle.com link. There are some other offers out there as well that I may be signing up for soon. I’ll keep you updated…
