The delivery thing didn’t work out. I wouldn’t really deliver all that much, and then when I wasn’t I would have to cut meat and all that. :barf

I applied to Best Buy and CompUSA yesterday. I think I would enjoy a job at either of those places more than at a food place. We’ll see where that takes us. I’ve also been using the classifieds. :)

If you know ANYONE who needs a website, contact me about it. I’m gonna try to get some freelance things going on. Carrie is gonna give me some leads, people who contacted her for a site and she had to tell them that she didn’t have time to do it. She is awesome! :)

I’m planning to go to NYC over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend for the big OAR shows! I just need to get the money now…

Kim and I are heading to Denver this weekend to visit her friend Josh and to go to a big beer festival. It should be a very good time!

Well back to job searches…

Chicago was a good time as usual. Always fun hanging with Tracey, Liam, Joe and Pat, since we used to do it all the time. It sucks that we are all moving all over the place, but I guess it is bound to happen. It was also fun partying with all the regulars, and even the randoms too. :) It was incredible to see that many people at an OAR show and especially to see everyone leaving after they were done even though NERD still was up to play. We didn’t stick around either. :)

Southwest is an interesting way to fly. The seating is all GA, meaning first come first serve. Note to self (or anyone that flies SW): show up early if you want to sit with those you are flying with…

Half.com is an awesome site. I’ve been selling all my old school books that I don’t want any more, and also been buying CD’s for way cheap!!!

Today is the big day for H&R Block, they are supposed to let me know yes/no if I have a job. No one else has lived up to their deadlines so we’ll see if this really happens. Wish me luck!

Hopefully you find the new location of the “journal” which is referred to as news. I hope you all like the new site design…

Labor Day weekend was great. The fireworks in Cincy were awesome as usual, and the JFK show at Mad Frog was SICC!

This weekend we are headed to Chicago to see O.A.R. and the Sprite Mix Tour!

Pig-Fest was incredible as always. It rained, but other than that it was fun for everyone. Check out the pictures: http://pigfest.edpaffjr.com

My Aunt Stefanie had her baby! A little girl named Elizabeth Ann. She is the first Busch cousin in quite some time!

Kim and I have planned some trips. We are going back to Cincinnati for Labor Day and to see the fireworks and everything. Then the weekend after that we are going to Chicago to party with all of my O.A.R. friends and see a show! Later in Sept. we are going to Denver to visit her friend Josh and to go to a beer tasting festival. That should be really cool and fun. I’ve never been to Denver or anywhere in the west before, besides California…

We are also going home again sometime in October and going to a wedding for a friend of hers. There is always stuff to do!

I’ve actually had a little luck with my job searching. I may get a temp position with H&R Block staring Sept. 8th and going through January or February, with another position becoming available at that time as well. It sounds like something that will be alright to do for awhile. It’s a job in quality assurance, so I would be testing software and web forms. Easy enough. :) Wish me luck for that. I need to find something to do…

That is it for now, hope everyone is well!!!

So yeah, my cousin Lauren was in the hospital here in KC with a case of mono and strep. Kim and I visited her one night while she was here, and Lauren gave me shit for not writing about it. So there ya go. :)

O.A.R. show tonight, with 311. Two of my favorite bands sharing the stage. It should be a great time, as long as we have enough money for beer. :)

I get to go back to Cincinnati tomorrow. My bags are already packed, I’m ready to go back for a weekend. Pig-Fest is really shaping up to be a great one. The weather looks great, and everyone is calling about it. They seem very excited and so am I!!!

I might go to a G Love show tomorrow night with Sarnovsky, the old roomies, and whomever else wants to go. That should be a good time, if it happens…

Blogger has been messed up so my entries were not showing up. Kansas City is going great. It’s hot, but has cooled down this week. I really enjoy being around Kim all the time. I still have not found anything but cover bands here, but maybe sometime soon. Looks like my cousin Lauren is coming out here for softball next week and my mom might come along. Then Kim’s sister Bobbi and her friend Molly and Liam are coming out the next weekend. Then it will be time to go back to cincy for Pig-Fest. I have a job interview setup for tomorrow, and it is looking really good. I met one of the VP’s of the company at a bar that one of the ladies Kim works with goes to all the time. I’ll have to let you know how that goes.

The apartment is great and in a perfect location. We have been cleaning it up and organizing for awhile, and of course buying lots of things for it.

More to come later, it’s dinner time!

Well after Marchtober was over, it was time to immediately start planning our spring break trip, following the OAR tour. Liam, Fighty, Joe Vedder, and I packed tightly inside of fighty’s car, drove over 2000 miles round trip. Detriot – Sarnovsky was up in this biatch along with Tracey (and her sister) and Tangus. What a beautiful venue, and great sound. We met some cool people here, including didia and the air instrument guys. It was a good time. The next night the 4 of us went with the other 4 who were in town to IHOP and had some breakfast, and everyone but Tangus sped down to Bowling Green to catch the VACO show. We were a little late, but it was great to see them again. After that, we said our goodbye’s and we were down to 4 again, so we headed to Windsor. We gambled, drank, and celebrated my 23rd birthday there. We didn’t stay too long, cause we needed to be in Milwaukee the next day by the early afternoon for an in-store. Saw some old good friends there, April and Tom. Chilled after the in-store and then went to the show at The Rave. Huge, that is what that place is. Interesting place and expensive for the drinkers. Met Erica there, Jordan showed up with his girl, Jason was there too along with Fries. Of course the other 2 from the in-store. It was a pretty good representation. I spent the entire show making sure my rig didn’t get kicked, there must have been 3500 people there. Nothing too eventful for the rest of the night. The next day was Green Bay, but before we could leave we ate lunch on the lake. Our waiter approached us with, “A round of high life’s to start you guys off with.” Hahah, it wasn’t even noon I don’t think. They love their damn Miller beer there. So Green Bay, we went to the packer’s stadium and put some cheese head hats on. Good times. The show here was in a wedding reception hall. Quite interesting, but a sweet show. Cheap beers, and a good recording. I don’t remember much of anyone being there, well Jason was. :) We spent the night at Jason’s place in Oshkosh and ordered over 20 bucks from Taco Bell. Barf! A big thanks to him though. We rose early again to get all the way to goddamn Iowa. What a long boring drive that was. We saw tons of Llama’s though. :) We get to Iowa and go to Brad’s place. Have a few drinks to get ready for the show, and then shortly after head out. This place was a seated venue, and quite large. Very cool place. We get our tickets for this show (row 6, with VIP passes). Nice! Much thanks to Joel, even though we did buy him a few harley shirts… This show was sweet, and going out to the bar afterwards was even better. Brad setup an after show party at a cool Irish bar in town. Just about everyone from the entire tour came out, and we had a wonderful time. Thanks Brad! The next day was another day off, we talked about driving to the field of dreams, but realized it was closed during this time of year. We instead just drove for awhile and ended up in Galesburg, IL. What a hick town this was, but it was cheap and they had a hot tub! The next day was Crawfordsville, IN. Wabash College or Univ. is there, an all guys school of 800 or something. Interesting. We went to Andy’s fraternity house there on campus. Erica and her friend were there, and Tom showed up eventually as did Noelle and Renee and Fries. The show was in a gym, which left much to be desired. There was an after show at the frat house though, which made up for it. It was a fun and drunk night. Thanks to everyone who helped us out along our way, and it was nice meeting so many more cool and great people. Hopefully we can do it again sometime!
Since then, I’ve been busy trying to get back into the whole school thing. The beginning of my last quarter! This is scary…
More to come later…

2003-02-27

Well, slacking as always. I have just been so busy and haven’t had time for what used to be all my normal internet activities. At least I remember from time to time.

The OAR shows at Bogart’s are right around the corner, and everyone at our place is so excited, not to mention all of those who are coming in for the shows and staying with us. Hopefully we can get some noise complaints that weekend. :)

Me and the guys, minus Callsen, have decided to follow the OAR tour during our spring break. It should be a ton of fun and hopefully very economical. I think Joe Vedder will be joining us on this little tour. Watch out Windsor we are also going to be spending a day with you…

I think I have re-qualified for my scholarship and should be getting paid back for all the quarters that were missed. Thanks a ton mom!

Everything else has been going fine. School, I’m doing well and should still be on track for graduation in June. Well as long as my last quarter works out, apparently I got my schedule in the mail and one of the classes I want to take is full. WTF is that about, where is this seniority shit we always hear about. Work, well it is pretty non-existent. I have no time to get there, and thus my funds have been very limited. I always survive somehow though, much thanks to mom again though! :)

I need to start my job search. I hope to do that next week. Finalize my resume again, and then start shipping it out. Hopefully I don’t have interviews until after I decide to shave my beard. I guess that will be a deciding factor in it all.

Back to work, for the little more time that I’m here. Take care everyone…

Another month goes by, and I get older and older. :) The only thing now is that I could possibly look like an old man now with my bald (aka shaved) head. You see, my roomies and I along with Lenny all started a bet towards the beginning of the year where we couldn’t cut our hair. If you did, you had to buy a case and the remaining “players” would drink all that beer. This would go all the way until the last person got a full case for themselves. We’ll, of course, Liam dropped out first. :) Then my hair started getting mullet like, and I was getting a little sick of it, but wanted to stay in the bet. Somehow, everyone else convinced me that if I were to bic my head, then I wouldn’t loose the bet. So we did that this past weekend in Champaign. Oh yeah speaking of Champaign, what a damn good time that was. The first night was pretty boring, but we made it fun by inventing yet another drinking game. This one was like the basketball game horse, but it involved launching beer cans across the room and into the hotel room trash can. Quite a fun game, and we even have some of it on tape. Actually we have a lot of good stuff on tape, including parts of the DMB show (the real reason we were in Champaign), along with some Hotel Cart Racing (think of jackass with the hotel baggage carts), etc. The show was really good, although no beer was sold. I got a pretty decent recording of the show, even though my seats were higher than I originally expected. Liam used Delaney’s video camera and got busted over and over. Although he did get a pretty sweet looking version of Grey Street on tape. I was a big fan of the Halloween tease, I just wish I could have heard the entire song. If anyone is into setlists like I am, check this one out.

So, it’s about Christmas time. I really need to start my shopping, but I always find better things to do. It isn’t that I don’t like to shop, I don’t like to shop around this time. Just the other week, Nick, Jessica, and I went to the mall just to eat Chick-fil-A, and there was a robbery of a jewelry store. Just what the mall needs during this time more craziness. I’ll get around to doing this sometime soon though!

School is over for the quarter. Another quarter down, and just 2 more to go. I think I did pretty good this quarter. I kicked the shit out of Symbolic Logic, and ended up getting the highest grade on the Automata final. I think those should turn out to be my best grades. Got a B in Linear Algebra and a C in Data Encoding. Only big mystery left is what we are gonna get in Senior Design. I hope it is good enough for me to get like a solid 3.2 or something. I’ll just have to wait and see. Now that school is about over, I guess I should start looking for jobs. The only thing is, I really don’t know what I want to do. Do I want to stay here in Cincinnati, or go elsewhere? Should I try out something like web design, or stick with C/Java programming? I guess those are something things to think about over break…

Well I’m gonna get back to doing some programming type work! Have a great holiday season everyone, and of course a drunken New Year!!!

2002-08-13

I awoke to a message from Mr. Aaron Liber telling me to write in here. I got bored at work, and then decided to do so.
So what has been going on? All kinds of things…
I have seen 5 DMB shows in Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and Indy. Tons of fun, and the shows have all been great. I think the Deer Creek shows were the best time I have had show wise in a long time. I don’t plan to ever miss those again! Only bad thing that happened is when a guy tricked me into letting him use my ticket stub to get a friend into the pavilion. He gave me a stub back, but it wasn’t mine… it was a damn lawn ticket. So once I left to grab another beer, I couldn’t get back in. That pissed me off out of principle, but I still had fun!
Let’s see what else…
Kate had a birthday on the 9th! She is no longer a teenager. :) We ended up going to a Lifehouse concert that day with Steph. Those two love their Lifehouse. I had a pretty good time, and thought about taping it (stealth), but then decided not too. Oh yeah, while we were at Kings Island, the show was there, I finally got to ride Son Of Beast. That is one cool coaster but it is quite rough. It is a wooden coaster that has a loop in it :o
I surprised Kate with a John Mayer show. That was fun, although the crowds there are getting less and less fun. I think she really enjoyed it though, since she loves that CD.
We picked rooms for our new house last night. I got the small room, which is the size of Liam’s now without the large closet he has so it looks bigger. This should be fun trying to fit all my stuff in there. :) I am really excited to be moving in though. Kate and all of them are moving in less than a week…
I guess I should have written before that I ended up buying mics for recording from Adam Elkins, I am just waiting for my first show to tape though!
I found out that tuition for next quarter is going to be a bit over 2300! This is getting ridiculous. I guess I should try and get that scholarship of mine back. They took it away since I didn’t turn in any service hours. This year should be really broke for me…
Hmm…..
I’m not sure there is anything else to add really. Have a good one, and I’ll try to update more…
