Cincinnati was a fun time as always, but I didn’t have nearly enough time to do everything that I wanted to. I never got to meet up with any of my high school buddies. There is always next time though. I guess this might be Easter???

I took some pictures and I tried to put them up here on the site, but I guess I broke the entire photo gallery instead. If you are having issues trying to get there, this is why. I’ll get to it after work today…

There are some great shows for the next couple of weeks that I’m really looking forward to. There is a Pomeroy show tonight that we may or may not go to. There is a Matt Nathanson and Tanner Walle show on Thursday. Of course, the O.A.R. show is this Saturday! I just hope we don’t spend all of our money. :)

I have information on my next trip back to Ohio. It will be on February 20th-22nd. I’ll land at 8:00 PM on the 20th in Cincinnati and will be there until I fly out at 8:44 PM on the 22nd. Hopefully I can see everyone on that weekend. Keep me updated with anything that is going on that weekend…

I had my third hockey game of the season last night. I came away with a hat trick, and we almost won. Maybe we are showing some signs of improvement. :)

I got my car and so far I love it! It probably hates me though for getting it all dirty and making it work so hard for so long yesterday. :b I’ll have to try and get my pictures that I took of it up on the site soon. Just a few more kinks to work out and I should be able to display all of the pictures that I’m taking with my new digital camera!

This past weekend was fun. Friday ended up being a long night of driving back to Cincinnati. We eventually got in at 4 AM Cincy time. Saturday, we picked up the car in the morning, and visited with both my family and Kim’s family. I wish I had more time for visiting on this trip, but soon enough I had to head up to Dayton. I stopped up at my brother’s place for the first time this year. Hopefully I make it back there soon for a weekend, so I can party with them. After a visit there I made it over to Sarnovsky’s place. We worked on the compilation and had a great time.

The drive home yesterday was awful. Kim started off driving because I was still exhausted from the previous night. We slid down a road near the highway trying to pull into a gas station. After a little bit of time on the highway, Kim decided she didn’t want to drive anymore. We talked about just turning around and going back, but I drove a little further and the roads kept getting better and better. We ended up driving until just after midnight last night and stopped in Columbia, MO for the night. We slept a few hours and then got on our way so that we could make it into work today. I finally was at work at 10 AM. We were on the road for almost 14 hours, which is 5 hours longer than the trip usually takes. We saw at least 37 cars that had slid off the highway and into ditches, trees, other cars, etc. There were even 3 semis that had done the same thing. We are back in Kansas City though, and my new car made it safely!

Damn, I just had another great entry typed up and somehow it got deleted. I like updating this thing daily and I’m gonna try to continue to do so…

Last night Kim and I met up with my buddy Steve Christy at a Steve Poltz show. It was a great time while we were there, but unfortunately work prevented us from staying out all night. I suggest you check this guy out if you have some free time today, good solo music and quite a funny guy too.

Everything should be set for me to pickup my new car tomorrow morning. I’m driving home to Cincinnati immediately after work today, and I think I’m gonna try a different route. Before I have always taken 70 all the way to Indianapolis and then hopped on 74 there. I think today that I will start on 70 and take that to St. Louis. From there I’m gonna take 64 over to Louisville, and then 71 from there to Cincy! Hopefully this is a more scenic route.

I would tell you to call me if you are around town this weekend, but I’m gonna be so busy with what I already have planned. Don’t worry though I should be back on the weekend of February 20-22.

On Saturday night a group of us are going to Mike Sarnovsky’s place in Dayton. We are going to work on O.A.R.’s Best Of 2003 Compilation. I’m sure that the number of beers will out number the song choices that we make, but it’s the fun that matters!

Happy New Year!

Christmas was great, I’m glad I went home for all the festivities.

I’m starting my new job tomorrow. I’m pretty excited to see what it is all about. Wish me luck…

So I’m heading home tonight, and I’m off work for almost a week. Should be relaxing and tons of fun. I already am planning to go to The Shantee show on Sat. night, so come on out to that if you can. Other than that, I’m open to suggestions and ideas.

We decided to leave Amstel here at home. Doni and Phil are gonna watch him for us, as well as the other pets. :) This makes it a ton easier! Hopefully he doesn’t shit all over the kitchen this time though…

Now 2003 is up. Click here to see it, or don’t if you want to be surprised when I hand you a copy. :b

Well it’s time to start this crazy day. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you!!!

My internet died for a couple days. It was a very lonely time for me, but I’m back now. :)

Kim and I took a last minute trip back to Ohio this past weekend. We did it to go Christmas tree hunting with her family. We didn’t get one, since we would have to drive back with it, but it is the thought that counts. While back, we went out to Mt. Adams and even hit up the Mad Frog once again for a Red Wanting Blue show. It seems that every time I go back, there is one of these shows to go to. Over Christmas though, it will be a Shantee show that everyone better get their asses to…

Work is still busy though, and it will continue to be that way until Christmas is over.

I still haven’t heard back from OSI about the job, so maybe I should email someone about that. Well I just took care of that real quickly. :)

NYC was amazing, just as all of the gatherings with O.A.R. board people are. We all had so much fun, and I don’t think any of us really wanted to leave. I didn’t get to see much of the city, but I can always do that again sometime…

I heard from the President of Optimal Solutions the other day, and I am one of the final 2 candidates. I am waiting for him to call me right now actually. Hopefully today goes well even though I am coming down with a cold.

Everything else is about the same. I think we are going back to Ohio this weekend. Kim’s family has a big family outing to get a Christmas tree, so she needs to be there…

Oh yeah, it is snowing outside here. I guess it is about time though…

The trip home was very fun. Let’s see…

Friday, Kim and I visited her family and then went down to tall stacks with her parents, her brother Jason, and fighty. It was a good time down there, and we watch Homunculus play! From there, fighty and I met up with Liam and went to some average comedy show thing at UC featuring two of the less funny guys from whose line is it anyway? From there, it was time to go to the Mad Frog to see Red Wanting Blue, and then we went to Murphy’s afterwards. Murphy’s was weird, and not too much fun. Everyone that goes back there says the same thing. Oh well…

The wedding on Sat. was a blast. It was super nice and a good time with all of Kim’s friends.

Sunday was a long day of driving and flying. We finally made it back to KC though…

Tonight we are going to Doni & Phil’s for the Chiefs game!

Denver was awesome! Kim and I spent one afternoon in Breckenridge. At first we did a little bit of shopping and then shortly after that a local told us to go hiking up on Borea’s Pass. We took the advice and went. It was amazing. The pass is a gravel road that was once a railroad track. It climbs gradually up a mountain and the entire time there are amazing views down into Breckenridge and other mountains around there. The leaves on the trees (the non evergreen ones) had changed to a bright gold color, which contrasted very nicely with the evergreens. I have some amazing pictures that I will have to scan sometime. We also went to the Great American Beer Festival while in Denver. I’ve never had some many different beers in such a short amount of time. It was a great time though, as was the entire weekend. Thanks to Kim’s friend Josh for it all!

I got on a hockey team out here in KC. We had our second game tonight, and lost again, but this time it was only 1-0. The last game we lost really badly, but I had 2 goals. :) I’m enjoying it so far, and we have 11 more games still!

I still have no job news, but I’m getting some feedback from the web design stuff. It is looking very nice so far.
Oh yeah, I may have a position with Hickory Farms for the holiday season. The Pioneer District Supervisor (Kiko) is looking for an assistant and I may have filled his position. I should know more in a week or so, hopefully…

The trip I had home to fix Kim’s windshield was nice. I got to see most of my friends and even have some pretty good nights out at the bars. I was ready to come back to KC though, since Kim wasn’t with me on this trip.

This weekend we are riding a bus with many others 4 hours away to some small town’s Octoberfest. Everyone that has gone on it before loved it, so we are looking forward to that. And then the weekend after this, we are back in Ohio. This time for a wedding…

I think that is about it for now.
Prost!
