Blogger has been messed up so my entries were not showing up. Kansas City is going great. It’s hot, but has cooled down this week. I really enjoy being around Kim all the time. I still have not found anything but cover bands here, but maybe sometime soon. Looks like my cousin Lauren is coming out here for softball next week and my mom might come along. Then Kim’s sister Bobbi and her friend Molly and Liam are coming out the next weekend. Then it will be time to go back to cincy for Pig-Fest. I have a job interview setup for tomorrow, and it is looking really good. I met one of the VP’s of the company at a bar that one of the ladies Kim works with goes to all the time. I’ll have to let you know how that goes.

The apartment is great and in a perfect location. We have been cleaning it up and organizing for awhile, and of course buying lots of things for it.

More to come later, it’s dinner time!

A little slacking once again, but you really can’t complain. I’ve been busy doing pretty much nothing and it has been wonderful. For those of you who don’t know, I will be moving to Kansas City on the 18th. Kim is leaving today to go there and start work. I am really really excited about this move and I’m sure it will be a blast. As of now, I will be keeping my same cell phone number, so you better keep in touch!

Highlights of the past couple weeks:
FBTE Festival in Cleveland. Great times with all the board people!!!!
Deer Creek. Isn’t it always the best time! In fact all the DMB shows were great. I recommend seeing one show of this tour if you can!
Fighty’s birthday bash was excellent, we even had some of the OAR board folk come down for it and almost got kicked out of Murphy’s. There is a first…

More to come later. I’m sure this will be a boring week for me with Kim gone, but hopefully I can see all my friends at least once more before the move. Talk to you later…

So I am completely done with school forever! I finished up yesterday, when I turned in my last homework assignment. It still hasn’t really set in, but I enjoy not having the work to do. I guess maybe it would seem more real if I had a job lined up. Oh well, I’ll have to keep on trying.

Tickets for Mraz sold out, so that really sucks. I shouldn’t have put it off for so long, but hopefully I can find a way to get everyone in to the show. The guys who are going to Bonnaroo are coming in. I haven’t seen Weeba in a long long time, so that should be a great time. Not to mention everyone else that is coming in. Party at 223 Bosley!

This weekend is going to be nuts. Hopefully Mraz tomorrow along with getting ready for Kim’s party. Then graduation and Kim’s party on Friday. Engineering graduation on Saturday, maybe some boat trip with Kim, maybe a party thrown by my advisor, etc. Sunday is my graduation party at home. It should be a fun one!

Things with Kim are excellent. Next week she will be in Kansas City looking for a place to live. This will give us a little taste of what it is going to feel like. I think it will be fine.

That’s it for now, back to work…

Interviews are so much fun. Haha. It actually went fine, but what is up with the fact that I only get calls back from consulting type places. Weird. I guess I’ll have to wait until mid next week to see if anything is available for me.

I have an early copy of OAR’s new CD, and it is sweet. Everyone needs to make sure you go out and buy it next Tuesday. You will not be disappointed. They are gonna be on Conan, Letterman, and MTV. Good things are gonna start happening…

I’m hungry, time to find food!

Hey!
Well this weekend was awesome. I got to see Fate Hates Us, July For Kings and Red Wanting Blue on Friday night. I’m very excited for the FHU CD to come out after hearing them play some of the stuff all polished up. The weather cooperated, so that really helped the night to be enjoyable. We attempted to watch Vertical Horizon, but soon got tired of them and left. Went back to Peccer’s place and drank all of his beer. :)

The next day we came back home and started drinking soon after. Sarnovsky, Kraut, Peccer, and Tracey all came down for Jammin’ On Main. After hours of drinking (2 cases between all of us) we headed downtown. Mraz was sweet, although the PA was not cooperating. We did some hippie dancing to moe. and enjoyed that for awhile. We then decided to leave, but before we could make it out we heard Mr. Roboto coming from the main stage. We all ran over to watch the Styx frontman play this song. It was awesome, complete with robot dances and everything. We left and went back to Clifton. Everyone definitely had a great time. Some other random things happened as well, and I would post a link to the message board that discussed it all, but I guess Sarnovsky deleted it. :\

Sunday, we went to the Red’s game. I should have caught a ball, but the guy next to me screwed it all up. Oh well, maybe next time. We had front row seats on the 3rd baseline. Great time down there.

I think we need to have a permaparty down here at 223 Bosley. It is always such a good time. I’ll just have to convince people to come down this weekend to see The Roots.

O.A.R. in 2 days!! This is going to be a great time. I’m gonna be able to stay down there at Amy’s parents house. Oh yeah, Amy is Kim’s roommate, I’m not sure if I mentioned that before. There will be a ton of people down for the show, and it will be my 50th show. I’ll have to try and get Tonight played. :)

The job search still hasn’t gone anywhere, but I’ve gotten the resume out to some places once again. Maybe I’ll actually hear back from someone this time, even if it is just to say that they got my resume. There is always McDonald’s…

It got cold out today, and that sucks. I actually considered putting all my long sleeve shirts away, but I had to bust one out for today. Damn Cincinnati weather.

Finding a job, or even looking for one really sucks. I haven’t got more than one callback, and the one that I did get is from a guy I don’t remember sending anything to. Oh well, I’m going for a group interview type of thing today, to learn about this place and what the job entails to see if I’m interested. Maybe I should get a hair cut. Hmm…

School is starting to get busier, but I still don’t want to do anything, just the minimal work to pass my computer graphics class. The others I would like to do well in, and have been getting good grades thus far. I would love to bring my GPA up to a true 3.5, but that seems like too much work.

Things with Kim are still going great, I’m looking forward to what can happen with this. I don’t want to jinx anything, but it truly is probably the best start to a relationship I’ve ever had. We’ll just have to see what happens.

I have some sweet shows coming up. It all kicks of with Big Free this Friday. Up in Columbus of course, and there are all kind of great bands playing. Then there is Jammin’ On Main with Jason Mraz and others. The next weekend is Springfest, which has the Roots and all kinds of other great bands. Wow, I’m going to be busy…

Guess I should try and do some work here. Have a good one everyone…

Well after Marchtober was over, it was time to immediately start planning our spring break trip, following the OAR tour. Liam, Fighty, Joe Vedder, and I packed tightly inside of fighty’s car, drove over 2000 miles round trip. Detriot – Sarnovsky was up in this biatch along with Tracey (and her sister) and Tangus. What a beautiful venue, and great sound. We met some cool people here, including didia and the air instrument guys. It was a good time. The next night the 4 of us went with the other 4 who were in town to IHOP and had some breakfast, and everyone but Tangus sped down to Bowling Green to catch the VACO show. We were a little late, but it was great to see them again. After that, we said our goodbye’s and we were down to 4 again, so we headed to Windsor. We gambled, drank, and celebrated my 23rd birthday there. We didn’t stay too long, cause we needed to be in Milwaukee the next day by the early afternoon for an in-store. Saw some old good friends there, April and Tom. Chilled after the in-store and then went to the show at The Rave. Huge, that is what that place is. Interesting place and expensive for the drinkers. Met Erica there, Jordan showed up with his girl, Jason was there too along with Fries. Of course the other 2 from the in-store. It was a pretty good representation. I spent the entire show making sure my rig didn’t get kicked, there must have been 3500 people there. Nothing too eventful for the rest of the night. The next day was Green Bay, but before we could leave we ate lunch on the lake. Our waiter approached us with, “A round of high life’s to start you guys off with.” Hahah, it wasn’t even noon I don’t think. They love their damn Miller beer there. So Green Bay, we went to the packer’s stadium and put some cheese head hats on. Good times. The show here was in a wedding reception hall. Quite interesting, but a sweet show. Cheap beers, and a good recording. I don’t remember much of anyone being there, well Jason was. :) We spent the night at Jason’s place in Oshkosh and ordered over 20 bucks from Taco Bell. Barf! A big thanks to him though. We rose early again to get all the way to goddamn Iowa. What a long boring drive that was. We saw tons of Llama’s though. :) We get to Iowa and go to Brad’s place. Have a few drinks to get ready for the show, and then shortly after head out. This place was a seated venue, and quite large. Very cool place. We get our tickets for this show (row 6, with VIP passes). Nice! Much thanks to Joel, even though we did buy him a few harley shirts… This show was sweet, and going out to the bar afterwards was even better. Brad setup an after show party at a cool Irish bar in town. Just about everyone from the entire tour came out, and we had a wonderful time. Thanks Brad! The next day was another day off, we talked about driving to the field of dreams, but realized it was closed during this time of year. We instead just drove for awhile and ended up in Galesburg, IL. What a hick town this was, but it was cheap and they had a hot tub! The next day was Crawfordsville, IN. Wabash College or Univ. is there, an all guys school of 800 or something. Interesting. We went to Andy’s fraternity house there on campus. Erica and her friend were there, and Tom showed up eventually as did Noelle and Renee and Fries. The show was in a gym, which left much to be desired. There was an after show at the frat house though, which made up for it. It was a fun and drunk night. Thanks to everyone who helped us out along our way, and it was nice meeting so many more cool and great people. Hopefully we can do it again sometime!
Since then, I’ve been busy trying to get back into the whole school thing. The beginning of my last quarter! This is scary…
More to come later…

What a weekend. Marchtober as we affectionately called it came and went like that. It was one of the best times I’ve had in such a long time. Two wonderful shows with big ass parties whenever we weren’t at Bogart’s. It all started at 3 on Friday for me, when I got out of class. A few people we’re already there like Vedder and Peccer. Soon after however, JStella shows up, I pick Stigs up, etc etc and we have a party on our hands. I have briefly met most of the people that showed up at one time or another, but never actually spent lots of time with them. Let me just tell you how cool each and every person truly was. I am so glad that me and my roommates decided to open up our house, because it was well worth it. From staying up all night with Jordan and Tim, to listening to all of JackStraw’s stories, to poo dollar, to DMX at waffle house, to Corn Whisky, to Swoothie making shirts for us all, to the beerings, to the random people we had on saturday, etc, etc, this was one hell of a party. I summed it up best apparently when I said that I was going to cry when everyone left. I never really did, but I really wish it wouldn’t have ended so quickly. We are definitely going to do this again, it was a blast!

2003-02-27

Well, slacking as always. I have just been so busy and haven’t had time for what used to be all my normal internet activities. At least I remember from time to time.

The OAR shows at Bogart’s are right around the corner, and everyone at our place is so excited, not to mention all of those who are coming in for the shows and staying with us. Hopefully we can get some noise complaints that weekend. :)

Me and the guys, minus Callsen, have decided to follow the OAR tour during our spring break. It should be a ton of fun and hopefully very economical. I think Joe Vedder will be joining us on this little tour. Watch out Windsor we are also going to be spending a day with you…

I think I have re-qualified for my scholarship and should be getting paid back for all the quarters that were missed. Thanks a ton mom!

Everything else has been going fine. School, I’m doing well and should still be on track for graduation in June. Well as long as my last quarter works out, apparently I got my schedule in the mail and one of the classes I want to take is full. WTF is that about, where is this seniority shit we always hear about. Work, well it is pretty non-existent. I have no time to get there, and thus my funds have been very limited. I always survive somehow though, much thanks to mom again though! :)

I need to start my job search. I hope to do that next week. Finalize my resume again, and then start shipping it out. Hopefully I don’t have interviews until after I decide to shave my beard. I guess that will be a deciding factor in it all.

Back to work, for the little more time that I’m here. Take care everyone…

2003-01-28

Well this month has flown by. Basically I’ve been doing the whole school thing, not working much at all, and having fun on the weekends. I haven’t been going out during the week because my schedule is just so time consuming, unless there is a show in the area. I just saw Ordinary People’s CD release party in Columbus and it was awesome. Such a great drunk time! In addition, I’ve seen Graham Colton, Fate Hates Us, Jason Mraz, July For Kings, and maybe others all one time.

My turtles have grown. At least Liam seems to think so. It’s hard for me to tell, because I see them every day. They are so much fun though.

School is taking up too much time though. I’m on campus from 10 until 6:30 on monday and wednesday. Then 11 till 2 on tuesday and thursday with friday being 11 until 3. I do have breaks to do homework in there, but still. I definitely need to do a better job at scheduling next quarter, and I need to do it soon, since that has started already.
Scheduling for my last college quarter. That is freaky. I think I finally will have my resume all updated by the end of this week, thanks to some help from pops! In the meantime though I need to find a shit job in clifton. I just don’t want to have anything I need to commit to since who knows what next quarter will bring.

That is really all I can think of right now. Less time at work means less bored time, which leads to less updating of the journal. Sorry, but I’ll try to remember to do it more…
