So, we started moving stuff after work on Friday. Kim got home before I did and started cleaning the kitchen, then did all of the floors and then worked on the bathroom. She was just about done with the kitchen as I walked in, so I started moving everything from our old kitchen into the new. I never realized how much stuff was in a kitchen, but it has definitely been the longest room to move so far. By the end of the night we just about had the whole kitchen moved over so we rewarded ourselves with some pizza from Papa Johns…
The next morning I woke up to a bagel and coffee and then we immediately began moving things again. One of the guys who helps run the buildings came over to fix our furnace, the water heater and a few other miscellaneous things. We finally had heat and hot water! Doni & Phil stopped over later to help out as well. Phil and I moved the computer over to the new apartment and sat down to install Windows XP on it. After booting it up, I tried to show him the problems I was having but what do you know, everything was working just fine. We decided not to mess with it, at least for now. So the site should be back up and hopefully it will remain that way. I think that I will just hold off on installing anymore hotfixes. I forgot to mention that we had leftover pizza for lunch and then ordered in even more pizza for dinner from Pizza Hut. I love pizza and could eat it all the time, but I didn’t think Kim felt the same. She really didn’t complain though. After dinner we played Euchre with our guests and at the end of the night we had almost everything moved over but the pets, bedroom stuff and the one custom closets systems that is full of junk. We are going to try and clean that out before moving it over to the new apartment. We’ll see how that goes tonight…
Yesterday I moved all of my clothes over. I am very happy with the amount of closet space we have now. We also moved over some other miscellaneous things then needed to hit up Target for a few items. Mainly we were in need of a shower curtain. We found a nice one that matches the redish color that we seem to buy all the time: towels, curtains, rugs, etc. We then stopped in at the Brooksider for a bit and saw the end of the first playoff game. I thought I had a hockey game, but after driving out to the rink I was told that the zamboni was broken and all games were cancelled. So I drove back home and spent the rest of the night watching TV, mostly Desperate Housewives. Oh yeah, I also got my iPod up on eBay. Anyone care to make a small bid on it to get the bidding started? :)
