I’m definitely not an expert.. but we put in some bonanza gold barberry and some bird’s nest spruce they both stay rather small and I put in alot of perennials daylily, salvia and hostas that come back every year. I also like lilac bush’s (I think they come in dwarf size too) I’ll send you some pics…

sounds like a great idea Amy! I bet it was beautiful! we just planted two trees in our yard this weekend… one a snow fountain weeping cherry (our Bry tree)in the front and an autumn blaze pear tree in the back yard… and I agree Kim definitely deserves a nice cold beer in her hand after all that work :)

I like the pic of Kim on the front porch - her right hand looks lonely - get the poor girl a beer! Claire - we went to the Conservatory and Ault Park this weekend for flower inspiration - it was beautiful!

we just did the same to our front yard… pulled out all the old and put in new!!! it is hard hard work!!! I’ll let you know what my favorite plants are but I have to do some research first :)
